i just hope that they do justice on this. i have high expectations cause i religiously watched the original.
Same I am a huge fan of the original even though it became repetitive. I hope They will be able to create a group dynamic similar to the original one, that's what made the series so good.

yeah it would be kind of cliché if they turn out to be a couple. I mean, come on, there could be a female lead without romance. Plus, I like the girl character so far, I just want to see her grow. Honestly, I don't find anyone shippable with Hae jin so far. The bromance will suffice, *sigh* Please writer-nim, let's break from cliché !

It is certainly way better than Missing 9 but the writing is still somewhat lacking for me. Korean writers really need to improve their skills. I am tired of seeing good acting wasted by shaky plots. I would encourage you to try the first 3 episodes and see yourself.
I am seriously getting annoyed with the writers and the producers and whoever is wasting amazing acting with stupid plot holes ! Like seriously !!! Honestly, I am not the picky kind of viewer and I do tolerate a certain extent of plot holes, like it is a drama, sometimes you need a little of deus ex machina to make it more interesting and it does not bother me.
I hold it in a lot for this drama but since episode 8 ish, I believe the writers are taking this too far. But, I got particularly irritated by episode 12.
1. I don't mind the surprise inspection during the night. It does bring a bit of suspense. However, Park Jeong woo should at least be in the hallway before the guards so that he reaches his cell in time. Isn't it too much for him to get from the office to the TOILET ! Heck, we never knew there was a way out through the toilet. And if there is, why didn't they use that way. But, let's say that I don't mind that. It would have been boring if he got caught that early.
2. THE FREAKING ROPE !!!! Okay, this is too much. Let me get through the head of the writers. "So Tae Soo character has become useless right now. I mean if he no longer hate Jeong Woo and won't beat him up, let's get rid of him. Lucky, Jeong Woo need to escape and someone need to take the fall. How about him? Great idea. First, let's have a lock that Jeong Woo can't open so he have to ask Tae Soo. I mean, he magically got the key for all the other lock so it would be too easy for him to also have the key for that lock. Right? Okay now, Jeong woo need to be out before the siren goes off or else he might not succeed. But then, if he is already out, we need someone to discover it! I have got an idea ! Let's make him forget the rope. I mean, he is smart enough to plan an escape but he will forget the rope obviously. And since we need to get rid of Tae soo, we will have him stand just next to the rope while spacing out. Great idea!!" SERIOUSLY!? At least make it so the other guard turn suddenly and discover them !! But no, he has the time to stretch and yawn before turning and seeing the rope... *FACE PALM*
Korea has a lot of talented actors but some of their writers really need to go learn the basis.
Obviously, they added two more episode... I fear the worst.
What about movies? I heard Korean movies don't have as many restrictions and tend to be about as explicit…
I don't know the exact regulations but it seems to be the case. Movies like A man from nowhere and the crucible have a very Western feel when it comes to violence.

Because if she says anything, she will be removed from Chammyung group, her son won't be a heir anymore and apparently her own family isn't rich anymore. Also I guess she is afraid of Min Ho also. Well, that's the reason the writer gave us anyway. she basically surrendered to money. It annoys me that the writer try to put her as a victim also. Her reason is so unbelievable and unclear...

I truly hope that this drama ends up at a 9.3 or something. Its mindblowingly good.
For me signal was undeniably one of the best drama I ever saw. However, I don't think you can compare the two. I feel like they are talking about two very different subject. This one is more on the melodramatic side than signal. I still feel this deserve high rating not for the story itself for sure (too many plot holes and I feel they get bigger each episode, please writer let's try to keep being a minimum logical till the end, for the sake of the magnificent acting) but for the characters and the acting. I never got so many goosebumps while watching actors act. And for once, I can say I saw true evil. I guess the rating could be very high or very low depending on the emphasis one put on the story while rating. Still, I don't think this will reach 9.3 (which would be an almost perfect score) since just has much as I love this, I have to admit more and more stuff does not make sense. Adding 2 additional episode will probably not help but let's hope.

I also had hope that maybe the wife didn't wife... until the latest episode. We saw the video of her dying and also her funeral, so yeah I think there is no more hope on that side. Let's cross finger for the daughter ! Please writer, we need hope in this world !

Yeah I saw that too.. At the beginning at thought he would escape soon but after 6 episodes, I think it is going to happen toward the end like 12ish - 14ish episode, aargh! so much waiting ! I hope his daughter isn't dead !
This is still amazing ! Episode 6 was just daebak, just when I thought that the plot was starting to move a little too fast for a 16 episodes drama, bam that cliffhanger !!! I liked the cute, innocent boy so much, sight guess I will have to find another character to like. I am still waiting for the moment when Jeong Woo escape the prison ! I hope the public defender take care of herself, Cha Min Ho is on the loose. I also hope she plays a more active role later on. I am just praying that the plot doesn't get boring toward the end because of 16 episodes. I will trust the writer. Another long week of wait for me I guess...

Those 16 episodes deals are literally the bane of Kdrama. Why do they always (okay maybe not always but still quite often) try to fit every single plot into 16 episodes ? Such a waste of potential ! Honestly, I think they should try different format more often. Sorry for the rant and yeah I am also excited to see the rest of this.
