Worth watching

Enjoyed watching Le Joon Gi in the role of estranged father. This is filled with tons of suspense, drama & action!! *goes back to watch LJG* <3 By the time I reached episode 16, I just thought this was so beautiful T__T ... Lee Chae Mi was just adorable, strong young actress & Lee Joon Gi was just pulling my heart strings anytime there was an emotionally intense scene.

Doesn't deserve a low rating, it's pretty good

It's done very well, beautiful, funny, action packed haha (you'll see), well timed tail effects and the actors performances/chemistry were pretty tangible. The teacher is just... creepy & too touchy... There were a few areas that seemed to need some better editing maybe a scene or two added for clarity or put back if missing. I loved Bruce He (Li Ren Yu) the most! He's just gorgeous and capable; I looked forward to seeing him each episode interacting with Kent Tsai (Zhao Long Jie). ???? Thanks!

So many sad moments, but 100% worth the tears

I love the cast's diverse linguistic skills - makes it feel very authentic because the time frame the series is depicted in. Lee Byung Hun is a marvelous actor and really expresses Choi Yoo Jin(Yu-Jin)/Eugene's emotional conflict, sadness of loss and the slow increase in his subtle, but growing smiles... are indeed like sunshine, they're so beautiful to see. Kim Tae Ri does a beautiful job & I can appreciate the dynamic of her being a strong woman working toward bettering herself to achieve her goals but still hold a playful, musing air when (as Go Ae Shin/Ae-Sin) she interacts with Choi Yu-Jin. At times there were a few places where she seemed a little stiff.

The 2nd leads, Yoo Yeon Seok (Gu Dong Mae / Ishida Sho), Byun Yo Han (Kim Hui Sung), and Kim Min Jung (Kudo Hina / Le) are amazing in their own right. The chemistry, conflict, emotion of their characters were conveyed well. Each contributed something memorable for their characters, even as I type I remember each of them; that's how great a "felt" impression they left for me. The dynamic of the relationships between all the characters in this story flows nicely and is masterful as the the threaded connections slowly shorten bringing all of them together for better or for worst.

In some episodes, there were cuts in a particular scene that weren't cleanly edited so the transition & time flow were smooth, but it added to the effect/benefit of another character in the following scene. It also made it feel like the progression of time was longer than what it was.

So many sad moments, but 100% worth the tears

Realistic with little of the sometimes unnecessary/funny sound bites

This was absolutely beautiful. I only put 9.5 for the story because felt a little rushed when Phoon's dad was in the picture. It dealt with realistic issues a same sex couple would have to face and didn't try to sugar coat it or downplay the emotional pain & confusion for their child, how other people influence them, the difficulties of trying to make things "better" or work just to get in a laugh or funny sound bite. Indeed, any child would be lucky to have Yuke & Phoon as parents; especially with all the love they have to offer. Both fathers balance each other and the actors relayed their different emotions - their individual difficulties & pains so well. Thanks o much for subbing/posting! Bravo to everyone involved in the production/creation of this

A good movie about a relationship

This was a beautiful movie where everything flowed nicely. The cast had great chemistry so none of the established relationships seemed forced, unnatural or unrelatable. It went so well, it made it feel like it was longer than 99 mins. I'm loving Gun more & more. And Pak is just as good. There were only a few spots where it seemed a little stretched, like the situation with Sunz & the role expected of Gump to play. They all had something they were working through, varying in seriousness and very realistic. Bravo & thank you!

Excellent chemistry

This series is uniquely different with chemistry between the two main leads that comes off as real, simple & felt. Both of these actors are amazing, especially Pran's actor, Nanon, who's skills are really at the forefront as he conveys the wealth, depth and complexity of all the emotions, shuttered feelings Pran's character is dealing with every time he's around Pat/Phat, Ohm. I appreciate the lack of commonly over used or leading preconceptions/stresses such as "I am not gay," "I only like him not other men," "I am a man and have always dated girls all my life," and "The world will not accept us" haven't come up thus far. The central antagonist is the tangible rivalry between their two families and if that wasn't present, these two would've been something more than friends since high school. I always love it when you really get to know the main leads and you can tell they don't think they are weird to have feelings for the same gender and neither does it seem to be an issue with their friends. Just competition between different faculty and silly testosterone driven competition. I really love this series thank you

This disproves what they say about sequels

I absolutely loved season 2! The acting here, chemistry and the way the story flowed was so much better than in season 1. We got to se a gradual growth in interest between the two MLs. Yoo Jun got to show more of his emotional range and Auntie too! XD whack him again for me Auntie! haha <3 This was worth seeing although the fight scene could be done a little better, the bruises/makeup was on point for where they were hit. The 8.5 is more so for the overall story; the mysteriousness of one of the MLs seemed a little off, followed by the strange, sudden death of a character I was getting attached too, the oddity of the friends intervening out of nowhere & how the ML figured it was them. Seriously, there's no way he'd have a way of knowing that... But I stop there, watch all of the ending (^_-) I look forward to another season!

Despite the twists & turns at the beginning, it's so good & complex

The cast was & is amazing, they are 10 stars easy. The directing/producing, scene changes, alludes to past events at the beginning and near the middle needed a little something. The writers were doing great for the most part, lines were solid in some areas but the actors really shined through making it felt! It was a challenge & a mystery, with clear distinctions in each character's past & present selves. Hence the 9. The most moving & truthful part for me was how Jang KiYong & the little boy conveyed the pain & psychological trauma people who are abused go through. That they "put up with it" in hopes that the ones they love would stop, get over it & go back to loving them without the pain & abuse. They put up with it so much, for so long some... die with that hope. T__T

Who's the Baby's Daddy?!

They keep you guessing, that's for sure! XD

I have to say at first I couldn't see any chemistry between the ML & FL, but an instant connection between the ML, Ye XiuDu (Liu Xue Yi) & child lead, Yu QingNan (Zhang ZiHan). That was undeniably wholesome, tolerant & loving - giving vibes of "this man is good with children." Lol As you continue watching & the story progresses, so do the relationships between the characters & boom, the chemistry I felt was missing appeared. I'm not usually stuck on the MLs, but Liu XueYi's performance was memorable; I fell in love with XiuDu and appreciated how he butted heads with Li ZiFan (Hu Wei). It was pleasing different & ZiFan, though he has love for Yu QingLuo (Wang Zi Wei), is respectful, caring & understanding with none of the hate or spite typical of some male friends who missed their chance. He even respects & supports his rival, XiuDu, while still ready to challenge him. Oh did I forget to mention that there are lots of gorgeous men (Xu HeNi as XiaoGuoZi, Li MingXuan as XiaoHong [he played RongXuan in Word of Honor!!!], Jovi Xu as Qing Heng) in the series too!? They all did pretty well. Even the Emperor's Eunuch was uptight, unbribable & a reassuring presence connected to the emperor.

This series has funny moments too but did play up the memory loss thing too much. Once you get to the end, they tastefully gave you the hope of something more with a perfect wrap up of the story. All in all, it has a 9.5 ;) Bravo everyone! Thanks to everyone, including subbers & Viki folk, involved. I loved it :)

Worth falling in love with them

What can I say other than that I've never been more content or in awe of a pair of soulmates, than I have been with Zhou Zi Shu (Zhan/Zhang Zhe Han) and Wen Ke Xing (Gong Jun) since I watched another well known bl series. That's where that little mention ends because this series was nothing like it to me. I didn't get to read the actual manga this was based off of, but I feel the writer, screenwriter, directors/production team, and heck all involved, did well to express that it was bl without twisting it to due to censorship issues. Some of the fight scenes, the graceful moves, skilled timing and choreography therein are just to be in awe of. Oh the scenes and backgrounds/drops do that too! There was mention that this was low budget, but I was thoroughly impressed. The lead actors really made tangible the relationship between ZiShu/A'Xu & KeXing. From the flow of their dialogue, interactions, wealth of their emotions smh I just love it. In the beginning the use of light or makeup on ZiShu was a little excessive to me because it almost whited out his face. Were they trying to make him seem and look ethereal/heavenly? But they cut back on the heavy use as the series progressed. There was a little bit of a disconnect, where I felt a little lost, in later episodes, but I think they did this because we're mostly going off of Zi Shu's point of view so for there to be confusion & a little secrecy that we are not able to see through is because they want us to find out as Zi Shu does.

I'm a fan of Zhan but this series not only allows us to see his strong performance capabilities, but that of all of the actors; all of them were incredible! Li Dai Kun is playing Scorpion King/Xie, a dark, sad, scheming and brilliant character who contrasts greatly with the character he played from another series name Xiao Qian Qiu (The Taoism Master) and he did not disappoint with his performance. He brought out the Scorpion King's character so much so that not only did I dislike him, but I ended up liking him despite myself and feeling for his emotional turmoil, hoping he would do better - then feeling a bit upset that he didn't really want to redeem himself.

Then there was the couple of cute, the definition of budding trust & devotion - Gu Xiang (Zhou Ye) and Cao Wei Ning (Asher Ma). I'm almost speechless here as I think of them; their individual performances were sweet and defined their characters. And together, boy the things my heart felt & hoped for them. I felt really attached, especially WeiNing, who played the part of wide-eyed and innocently sweet so well that I could feel my teeth ache but I loved him for it. That's all I can say there as not to spoil it. Definitely watch this series & while watching it fall in love, scream, cry, get angry, gasp and feel all the skill & beauty they put into it for us. Jiao/much luck to all involved to all their future endeavors!

BL with a real feel to it

Although shorter than I'd like, it conveyed the actors did a great job conveying the story & their characters well. I was very happy to see Kim Kang Min in another series not long after I completed "Tale of the Nine Tailed" and that he was one of the main leads! He and his co star Son Woo Hyun had great chemistry on the screen and made the closeness of the characters believable. Fantastic smile too! I look forward to seeing all of these actors in the future.

Thank you.

A bit angsty with drawnout teases! haha Worth watching ;)

Now, to prepare you... it's a little strange that the whole time they have us falling in love with all the characters (for me in particular it was Wayu ;)), while one character's face is completely unseen! I mean, they did a great job on that and not even a slip up or distinguishing mark could be seen to tell him apart from a random stand-in or just in case one of the other characters filled in for as his back haha! But the thing that's sad and troubling is the constant pain Wayu's in with splashes of happiness. In truth, some breakups are never clean or easy nor do they all mean the person hurting does reckless things or drowns themself in alcohol or drugs to cope; this series let's us see that through Wayu's experience. The mysterious Pha's actions starts to feel possessive, almost toxic to me... I found that very refreshing and despite the takes around the rain & shower scenes near the beginning, Wayu actor Bass does an amazing job displaying the emotions of his character. He has an amazing voice too... boy can sing to me anytime!!

Hey, also if you've endured the torture of wanting & watching your two favorite characters almost kiss and think you can tackle the same for nearly 4-5, 60+ min episodes straight, then baby, this right here's a teasing pleaser!

Overall, I love the inclusiveness of the stories, circumstances of all the characters and commend the writers, cast & directors/producers for keeping all the stories distinct & clear. The chemistry & cohesiveness of the cast makes me want to see the behind the scenes clips even more!! The star couple, Mark & Kit, I just love them and then there's a hint of something else with Sandee... He himself indirectly gets told "not everything is as 'he' himself sees it," nor is it set in stone. lol yes these are my words summing up an incident that I felt had meaning. Specifically, it felt like a warning that he shouldn't take actions himself... but he does y'all & if you watch it, you'll see what I mean. Well, I hope this helps & you enjoy the series as much as I do/did! I'm always happy to talk about whatever you've seen that stands out too!

Happy viewing!

An ok filler when you're between shows

At the start, it's a little strange that they find out their children were swapped and then they, somehow, easily find the mother who has their child. Some places the emotion or acting seemed a little strained, but the actors all did well. It was a sad, but interesting & frustrating movie to watch. Unfortunately, it won't be on my rewatch list

Only just begun

I can't say that a series has started and continues to satisfy it's viewers more than this one has! I'm finding that from the acting, cast chemistry to the sets, nothing but excellent production and effort by all. I'm falling in love with all the couples and all the characters are solid with depth! There's tons of cute moments that just have you smiling and I'm thoroughly loving this series especially with Xuan Ji and Si Feng as the MLs. The secondary couples/characters also draw their own share of love from me. <3 It reminds a little of Ashes of Love but Xuan Ji's actress portrays her well, with well thought out expressions that feel/flows so naturally - you don't feel any disconnect between actress & character when you watch her perform. We get great progression and so far, I'm only on episode 16, nothing seems too rushed. Though for Si Feng, there's a slight shift in the span of 2 episodes earlier on that quickly does away with his language difficulty. It was cute & could have stayed around a little longer.

Now back to the series! I hope you enjoy even more than me :)
