ep 25 ending: I know it was a serious scene but...it was hilarious to me. how others were more frightened of him…
Because they know he is wounded, and the whipping would make him worse. Àslo, they know he did not participate in the escapade, so he should not be held accountable.
In the novel, there was no punishment. Firstly FL did not use Sui Yuanqing as a bait there. She hunted a bear,…
The writer and director are animal lovers, and spared the bear. which I would also support. And speaking of animals, we haven't seen the falcon or pigs lately.
I still don't get why foot soldier Yan Zheng gets special handling, and a bigger cot and private tent. He's been in the army for two months. They should have said that he was promoted to Envoy to Marquis Wu An. If Marquis Wu An is unable to lead the army attack, who is next in line to take charge? Advisor Gongsun is not a military man.
I have enjoyed the drama, but the end scene in episode 25 made me roll my eyes. I can't believe that Yan Zheng would stage a fake scene to fool Chang Yu and her gang of four. Will Jin Bao and his boys die in battle, never knowing YZ's real identity? Yan Zheng's integrity is out the window. He could have revealed himself, and told them that they had broken the army laws. They would be punished, but put on probation, since they acquired food (and medicine?) for the troops. The Pig Butcher Squad seems to possess more strategic planning and execution skills than the Wu An Army. Chang Yu could say, "We're independent contractors." The Jin gang was conscripted by the army, but are not soldiers in uniform. They are slave laborers, and don't earn army pay.
At this rate, Yan Zheng would continue to lie to Chang Yu, and lead a double life, if the writer did not intervene.
Episode 25: The music director and editor did a very nice job in the scenes with Chang Yu and Yan Zheng, and Princess and Gongsun Yin. The BGM was very pretty, romantic and soft-toned. The BGM was not drowning out the acting and dialog, unlike some dramas.
Changyu is going to be so devastated when she finally finds out his true identity, not only because of being misled…
I hope she figures out that they were all lying to her. The worst betrayal is when Yan Zheng, tells the fake Marquis behind the curtains, to whip him with with 30 strokes. He is either into S & M, or is trying to make Chang Yu feel more sorry for him, that she will promise to never leave him.
The funny thing is that she is pleading not to whip him because she thinks he is weak and injured. He is strong and injured. 😆
At this rate, Yan Zheng would continue to lie to Chang Yu, and lead a double life, if the writer did not intervene.
