I started watching Archives... late night, and got scared. So I put it back on the Watchlist, and forgot about it. 😁😁😁

I suppose he has to act like that to maintain his Number 1 Gate status. The Gates behind him, might be ready to takeover at any time, except for Gate Number 8, Ba Ye. 😂😂

I think he showed up in ep 1.

I am glad it won Best Drama Award. This is the first Kdrama I have watched in many years, and I enjoyed the story, acting, and the music. The Migak Bros performing Taste my Flavor at the awards show, was great fun. The actors have increased their recognition factor with their various KPOP appearances.

I am already catching Tombitis from watching=the first eight episodes. LOL

This is a random thought. I think Wu Xie was referring to his grandfather in one of the Wu Xie movies or dramas. I didn't know the connection to Mystic Nine's Fifth Gate at the time. I didn't pay attention to the character's name when I was watching the first Mystic Nine.

I agree. If they can't complete the story in one season with 40 episodes, they are essentially stretching the plot, especially when they load Season 1 with filler and flashbacks (...not to be confused with flashbacking, btw).

I watched NIF2 but it was a stand alone story with different characters. I can't even remember the plot now. I stretched TM1 over a length of time. LOL

I like William Chan and Joseph Zeng, but I am getting bored with their chatter in the tomb. Wu seems to be a chatterbox, to offset Fo Ye's stoic commanding presence. The second team hasn't moved from their spot. I am zoning out when Ba Ye talks. He and Wu Lao Gu make a better team, since they talk a lot. LOL

Are they going to spend 50% of the drama in this tomb of the Underworld Kingwhatsit?

Er Ye is still grieving? I am now watching ep 6. He was grieving in Key to the Phoenix Heart. 😄😄

Lt Zhang used to yank Ba Ye's chain. They had some funny moments. 😂😂 My friends and would joke that Ba Ye had a crush on Fo Ye, especially when you watch the final episode flashback of when they first met. 😁😁

I was annoyed with a lot of redundancies and plot holes in M9 Season 1, but I liked the Fabulous Four and the supporting characters, except for the irritating villains. The director repeated filler flashbacks to fill up 48 episodes. It could have been done in 36 episodes.

Is Ding really a eunuch? I thought he was acting like one. I might have seen the actor play a eunuch before.

Ba Ye seems to be the same in both seasons. Due to the history timeline, many years haven't elapsed.

If they reedited M9 Season1 down to 36 episodes, and removed the filler or extraneous scenes, it might look well done.

Ba Ye acts like a eunuch sometimes. 😂😂 I thought Hanson Ying was handsome as Ba Ye. He was a possessive obsessive SLS in Blossoms in Heart.

The tomb dramas seem to have plotholes. The screenwriters or directors probably don't know how to fill the holes. 😂😂

Thanks. I remember that my friends and I were angry that Ba Ye left the dog chained outside the mansion. Ba Ye was a wimp. I was not following the MDL page while I was watching the drama. I didn't know the names of the Gates except for Fo Ye, Er Ye, Miss Huo and Ba Ye. I know the character Wu Xie well, having watched a few dramas and movies with the Wu Xie character, but I did not know Wu Xie's connection to M9.

I don't remember Wu in Season 1. Did he have a dog? I remember somebody chaining a dog outside the Gate's mansion at night instead of returning the dog in person. I think Ba Ye was afraid of the Gate (might be Wu). Or was I thinking of another drama?
