Given the bad relationship between Qin and Jing, do you think Prince Mo Bei Leng Bei should be planning to assassinate Emperor? He missed his opportunity.
Episode 19 script could have been reduced to 20 minutes. Some of the dialog was trite. It's as if the writers are filling time, to get paid.
I am surprised that Emperor did not promote Ren Anle to Magistrate of some remote region, to separate her from Han Ye.
Many episodes ago, I was hopeful for Anning and Mo Bei, but he burnt his bridges. Princess Mo showing up to provide an alibi was stupid plot writing. Anning's reputation as the bravest, fearless Jing general might be hype. She is useless against the two Qin Mo siblings. she was useless during the assassination attempt in the palace. She should have found a weapon to fight off Assassin Mo Bei. Princess Mo and Prince Mo have frequent conversations in the open. I am surprised that no servant in the Princess' Residence has seen them together, and reported it to Anning.
The Ren Anle-Han Ye-Luo Minxi triangle is boring. The Anle-Luo, the Luo-Han, the Anle-Han conversations are boring. Luo's favorite line to Han Ye is, "... Official Luo". They will engrave that on his headstone. He should pass out business cards in every scene.
Old Madam Dowager is pure malice. I am confused which group of assassins she hired to kill Cheng En. Was it the dance troupe or secret agent Mo Bei Lingbei? If her plan had succeeded, wouldn't Emperor and Han Ye tie it back to her? If Mo Bei infiltrated the palace, doesn't it mean anyone can walk into the palace to kill Emperor at any time. He said, "I never expected the security here to become this lax." My reaction is, "Muahahahaha"!
