I know Fu Kang’an was a villain in this but I still think the actor who played him is beautiful. I’d like…
He was a passive villain. You didn't get the feeling he was a demented villain, like Tian Guinong and Shi Wan Chen, or currupt as Feng Tiannan. In the end, when he said goodbye to Hua, it seemed that he genuinely loved her. He also gave up his children to Hu Fei, which is surprising, since he is the Emperor's bastard son. I actually liked looking at him, btw.
Thank you for a good run. Enjoyed most parts of it especially when there is a figthing scene. The action is really…
The fight scenes were very well choreographed. The quality that you see from Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung's works as martial arts fight directors...I forgot their job title. If the production team edited the filmed drama into a three hour movie, and kept all the fight scenes, the result would be outstanding.
That was the evil intention of the king. Kill all those talented kung fu people that were not on his side or willing…
I watched an old movie, Seven Swords, with Donnie Yen, with the same premise. Emperor wanted to kill out all the martial arts sects. I guess the emperor is paranoid that they would overthrow him one day. One sect might not succeed, but a united martial arts community might succeed.
Since the drama is complete, you can binge watch it, without interruption. When we had to wait five days for the next week's episodes, it slowed down the expectations.
I am not surprised how the ending played out. Typical martial arts drama outcome! Hero is alone. He has no time for a companion (Cheng Lingsu) or a mentor (Maio Renfeng). I was curious if in the future, Hu Fei would mentor the children, Roulan and the Twins, and teach them the Hu sect martial arts. I didn't notice that the Twins went with Xiaomei and the Nuns. I did not expect to see Nanlan in the last scene. I guess she is a survivor. Hu Fei looks better and younger with long curly hair.
I expected Miao to die...typical sacrifice. Waste of a life, but he killed Tian Guinong, so he accomplished his revenge. I don't know why he didn't kill Shi Wan Chen Creep and his two trolls at the Gathering. We didn't need to see them in the final episode, which was flashbacks and singing. I hope blind Shi Wan Chen Creep died in the fire, and that he did not escape, and heal his wounds.
For a minute I thought Cheng Lingsu would live, but no. The writer had to kill her off. Final rating: 8 out of 10
What a horrible ending ?? his two loves are gone one died and one became a buddhist nun the master of all martial…
Not surprised at the end result! Showing the Roulan child is the continuity between the side story and the next novel. Ironic that it ends with Hu fei, Nanlan and Roulan characters in frame.
