I watched the first ten episodes continuously until 5AM. I didnt sleep more than a few hours afterwards. The drama has high production values, and the adrenalin is flowing. I hope it does not slow down, and become boring. The frenetic pace of the fight scenes reminds me of a Donnie Yen or Jet Li high impact martial arts movie.
She leaves Miao Renfeng for Tian Guinong. They never get back together again. She dies of loneliness and regret.…
If this drama continues the high production quality to the end, I would be glad to see the sequel story. The first ten episodes whizzed by in the blink of an eye. The Feng story was an episode too long. πππ

Same here! I was surprised to learn she picked up with the Leader, but a widow with a baby, has no future. I liked Maio's house. I could see Leader had his eye on her when he first showed up in the drama.
YZY goes off to become a nun. She actually is already sworn to be a nun and eventually takeover her master's role.
While I was watching ep 10, I thought she was the best choice to be Master of the Weitou sect, but becoming a nun at the end means the ML and FL do not end up together. ππ€¨
I used to wonder whay Qi Ming always had intel on people and events that happened years ago. I am sure they did not have efficient communication channels back in the 1930s. Situ should have suspected him from the beginning.
I'm so out of the loop that I didn't realize that it was Mo Wan who had killed the lawyer ! I thought it was X.…
I am wondering if Situ deduced Mo Wan was raised by Oracle. She was vague about her life after she ran away from the Aunt. She might have said she was an orphan. Qiming might also have said he was an orphan. It looked like Oracle was recounting orphans to be spies over the years. Situ said that X or Oracle knew all about him, as if he was very close to Situ. The only one closer to him was Mo Wan, besides Mrs Shen.
Overall I like it. The settings, acting and overarching story were well done. I think they ended on a a strong…
I loved Situ's fashions. He wore a different outift in almost every scene. He must have travelled with a few trunks packed with suits and coats from Beijing. He used a lot of hair spray in some scenes. π€π€π€
I was a little disappointed in the writing and flashback filler in the final two episodes, that slowed down the conclusion. The ending signalled a potential future Situ-Luo collaboration. Sorry that the Situ Yan Detective Agency in Harbin shut down.
Jin Qiming gave himself away from episode 1. He seemed to have answers at his fingertips. Only Mr X would be this polished. Mo Wan was also shadowing Situ, so it was no surprise that she was also a member of the secret society.
