I was wondering if the person Gu Qian Fan was engaged to, was her. He said his grandfather had arranged the betrothal, when he was young and he never met the girl. He just said it was broken off. That would be too funny. Is Zhao, her real family name? There must be someone ih the palace, who would know the story of her family.

He was dubbed in one of his recent dramas. It might have been Be my Princess.

Also, the BGM is very good. The singing inside the episodes could be dropped, though.

They are my second favorite (future) couple in the drama.

I can't watch Ouyang. A complete waste of screen time! I suspected he was delusional before he left Eastern Capital, and it showed in ep 20.

I watched ep 20 today. That Ouyang is delusional. I had to fast-forward his scenes. That was a waste of screen time. They should leave his scenes on the cutting room floor. His friend is actually easier to watch.

With 26 more episodes to go, I hope the trials and tribulations are short. Did they introduce his half-brother in ep 14? He looks like a potential villain.

Perhaps, he saved it, to give it to the Emperor. 😆😆😆

I hope it wasn't his father who betrayed the Zhao family. The C-drama scriptwriters seem to enjoy creating family angst.

I don't know why the scriptwriter introduced the Yinzhang crush on Gu Qian Fan. It made me feel less sorry for her, after her suffering by her disgusting husband.
