I watched the first three or four episodes, then put it aside. Weeks later, I catapulted to the final episode. I started watching the drama for Joseph Zeng.
I actually didn't want the last episode to happen! I really think the 2 main leads deserve a life of their own…
I agree. They should have ended it at episode 46. The Soulan arc was contrived. the reason the Ji Chang and Soulan arcs went that far, was because of bad palace security. The Secret Force of Jifeng Pavilion should have been able to rout them out.
She had two traitor maids... or one traitor maid and one mouthy maid! Bizi purposely made it look like Mouthy…
I didn't trust Bizi after her companion died. She looked like a mole. She was probably pissed she had to do double work, and started sending secret messages to Soulan. He was another snake. When Soulan showed up, I thought "he has a hidden agenda. " Thank God, he was around for a few episodes only, unlike Egg Prince who lingered for a few dozen episodes. Ji Chang broke many eggs. If he was trying to hatch them, he was doing a bad job.
which part is not logical? the weak lungs? the size of the baby? out with it. LOL
They could have omitted the premature factor, and just say that he had a genetic disease, stemming from Tilan's respiratory issues. That doctor is really skilled.
That Tilan was an extremely inept boss. Both her maids caused such huge disasters and she was completely clueless…
She had two traitor maids... or one traitor maid and one mouthy maid! Bizi purposely made it look like Mouthy Maid put the poison in the soup, to divert the blame.
That's exactly what I was hoping for in the end too... Also, I thought they were hinting she was pregnant in the…
I was thinking along those lines, however, if she became pregnant, she would have to claim it was the Emperor's child, since she was the legal consort. That would not sit well with Jianming. If Jianming claimed paternity, Haishi would be labeled an adulteress.
I have to agree with you here. William has dead eyes to me, it's like he doesn't emote well. Someone like Chen…
Part of the problem with William Chan's performance is the directing, or lack of same. Director focused more on Haishi. When all else fails, stick the camera up against their faces. We could have done with less selfies. At some point, Emperor started looking bug-eyed at the camera, to show various emotions.
I want story about Zhou Ying and Zehliu as a sequel. They didnt talk mucj about him and his twin brother. Like…
That arc that was not developed. I expected to see more interaction between the two brothers, instead of a "By the way, this is what happened one day". The scriptwriter made an effort to send Zhouying on a secret mission on the prairie. I think it was disclosed that Tara was killed during the attack by Duoluo. That was glazed over. They should have shown Duohan and Zheliu meeting at the Fabric Store, or on the street.
If there were any relevant scenes in the lost episodes, they should have trimmed some of the existing episodes of filler, flashbacks, redundant singing and bad editing, and inserted the scenes.
Xu Kai Cheng is playing his character as the emperor very well because at the moment i hate his guts for the way…
He looks normal and charming in the Imperial College drama, to be honest. I thought that I would not want to watch him in any drama, but I might give Imperial College a try.
