I thought I had missed QW going into a coma in the drama. 😅😅😅 They should have followed the novel, to explain why she was "dreaming back to the past", (...Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty pun).

If Lu Xun replaces Li Chong Wen in the past, it would seem that his destiny would follow the path that LGC took. Qian Wei would come full circle, ten years later.

That mad woman, Jian Minmin, should have gone to jail for pushing the woman down the steps. The neighbors heard the argument, and could have said she did it. I wanted to see her in jail with Husband and Younger Brother. She deserved to fall from high. How did she explain the bag of half million dollars to the police? She might have bribed them, to get off free.

She "got away with murder" in the final episode. I wish she had gine to jail, and joined her husband and younger brother.

I am watching this drama but Qian Wei is getting annoying. She is always whining when she talks to Young Lu Xun. He is too cute in love.

Complicated and convoluted... typical melodrama!

Ning Shu went off the rails, and looked possessed. LOL How did he get to Jian Mimmin's house from the hospital? If he traveled on foot, it would have taken him a whole day or two.

I finished the drama tonight. The Cui and Jian families were dysfunctional. I feel sorry for Ning You and Jian Hong Cheng, miserable for most of their lives within a toxic family unit. Mother Cui and Sister Jian were two stubborn mules. Both of them should have fallen down the stairs. The ending was bittersweet. Was it a flashback, when they passed each other on the beach, not recognizing each other as adults?

I skipped a chunk of episodes, and picked it up, around ep 25.

I watched both M9 and GE, and I agree about his acting then. It might appear that the acting jobs were just thrown at him, and he had no formal acting training. Over the next few years, he decided acting was his vocation (besides singing, dancing and songwriting), and he focused on learning the craft.

I can't believe there is one more episode to end the drama. I can't wait for ep 38. I am relieved because Jian Hong Cheng and Ning You are really having a miserable life. Drama should be called Cause and Effect.

I binge watched nine episodes yesterday. Huang Zitao and Song Zu'er were excellent choices for their roles. I love Zitao's acting.

I just saw a scene clip at a party event, and they looked perfect, like the wedding couple on the cake. The ex-girlfriend was in the scene.
