Not trying to be a hater, but this comment clearly shows that you’ve never been blessed enough to be in love, so you’re not going to understand. I believe he clearly explains why he loves him. This kind of jealousy isn’t healthy. Maybe it’s time to go outside and touch some grass.

I know, I’ve read the book. I know what Little Jane’s character is like. That’s not my point. My point is that nobody can actually explain why Little Jane is supposedly a “red flag.” You can call him naive, weak, overly idealistic, or whatever other adjective you want, but that doesn’t automatically make him a red flag. A character can have flaws without those flaws being red flags. People just throw around words they don’t even understand the meaning of, and that’s my point.

Exactly. It actually feels like a lot of people dislike Little Jane only because they’re attracted to Big Jane. But in reality, Big Jane is exactly the kind of person we later hear about in crime documentaries. Any sane person would run. Obviously, a pretty face affects how people see someone, and I know it’s a TV show, but calling Jane a red flag “in reality” is honestly one of the dumbest takes. He’s a very human character with very human traits, and he goes through things like SA. If you can relate to him, you understand why he acts the way he does instead of just labeling him a red flag.

I genuinely want to understand what goes through the minds of people who call Little Jane a “red flag.” Do you actually know what “red flag” means? Because calling someone a red flag is a pretty specific thing, and I’m not sure how that definition applies here.
And on top of that, are you not aware that this production is kind of a running joke even among the actors themselves? They literally make fun of it. So seeing people seriously use “red flag” in this context is, at the very least, a little strange to me.
I don’t know… maybe educate yourself on what the term actually means before throwing it around. 😭

Seeing how talented Little Jane is, I’m not surprised at all that JP fought so hard to get his memory back🌚🌝

I’m still mourning the vibe of the teaser. It could’ve been such fire. All that tension, possessiveness, and jealousy. Ugh, come on. How am I supposed to live? These really are first-world problems.

So Dan is basically Dan + Win + Sin all mashed into one character, right? I genuinely have no idea what they’re doing anymore. And who even is Dan supposed to be at this point? Is he basically some wannabe mafioso? Because what the hell? In the book, he was just pure evil, like evil in its absolute purest form. And now they’ve also combined him with characters who were in love with Little Jane.
Honestly, my biggest dream is still for Little Jane to just fucking shoot him. Because WHY ELSE did he learn how to shoot?! 😂 I need that payoff. I need the action. Please. Just fucking take Dan out already because I’m so damn annoyed with him. I actually think they may have pieced Dan together in a way that makes him kind of a wannabe Big Jane. Like, based on what we’ve seen in the previous episodes, maybe he has this obsession with Big Jane and wants to become him. That would explain why he keeps showing up out of nowhere in these completely random moments. Maybe he wants to take Big Jane’s place, and that’s why he wants Little Jane for himself too, he basically wants everything Big Jane had.
And honestly, that would kind of make sense. In the book, Dan fucking HATED him. Like, he genuinely despised him. You could feel that he was pure evil, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
So I’m wondering if they’re trying to soften Dan too much in the show. Because that would be kind of a shame. You need a proper villain, and honestly, I think it’s way more interesting if Dan is just an absolute monster. I want to see this.

The series itself is good, and I really like the main couple. They fit together perfectly, like a pair of gloves. But I honestly think this is one of the worst adaptations of a novel I’ve ever seen, because they changed so much that it completely affected the characters. And because of that, people end up hating Little Jane, while Big is basically a total mess. Don’t even get me started on the whole fight they had before they finally reconciled, or on how Little doesn’t seem to have an issue anymore with the favors Big does. Little was also much more sexual in the book and liked it when Big was rough with him. It fit his character perfectly and it made sense with his development in the book. The whole storyline about Little being able to shoot was removed, which was VERY hot. 😂 The whole debt storyline also belonged to his sister in the novel. Little wanted to strangle her when he found out, and Big had to physically stop him. And when Little told her that she would see what happens, well… she did. 😂 That storyline made so much more sense than the whole story with his brother, who had already gotten his life together, matured, and built a life for himself. He was actually a great guy, especially after the accident.
And in the book, Big was absolutely ruthless. He practically ruined Little Jane’s family, and there was even a point where he said he wouldn’t help his family because of his love for Little. They weren’t even supposed to be allowed to stay in that house. Seriously, I feel so sorry for everyone who read the novel and is now watching the series. As far as the adaptation goes, it’s honestly a disaster. If I had written the novel, I would never have agreed to these changes. This story was supposed to have proper gangster vibes, but instead it feels like a school play. 😭
They were both supposed to be equally red flags, in the eyes of many people. That was literally the whole point of the story in the book, they were both toxic in their own ways, and that’s what made them work so well together. But in the series, apparently Little is the red flag and Big is the green one. Like… are we seriously doing this? 😭
That being said, I do like the actors. I think the actors playing the main couple are convincing, and I really like Jamie too. But as for the rest… I honestly have no words.

Heng has to be the most beautiful actor I’ve ever seen. Like, genuinely, since forever I haven’t seen someone with this kind of flow. He’s exactly the type of guy where, if they made a ranking of which men are most attractive to gay guys, he’d be number one 🫣 I honestly don’t even blame Big for being obsessed 😅

You’re saying the scene was “too simple” and didn’t fit the characters, but you’re looking at it through the lens of the book, not the show. The scene in this episode, just like the one in episode six, was specifically about the relationship they have in the series. People keep looking at everything through the book, when you really have to separate the two. Maybe the writers and the director simply decided that this was the way they wanted to portray their relationship. And honestly, why is there such a huge problem with shows about two men? Why does everything have to be some huge, intense, sexual thing? The scene in the book worked for the situation that happened in the book. The show handled it differently, and in the context of the show, I think it works better. Even the way JP and Little Jane are written is different. They’re not exactly the same characters they were in the book. They’re both softer in the series, for example, and that obviously affects the way their romantic relationship is portrayed as well. And then you get offended when someone says people can’t discuss the show. But seriously, look at the series page. You had a whole hour-long episode where so much happened, and the only thing that caught your attention was the sex scene? Not the way they started opening up to each other, not their relationship with the younger brother, not the „conflict” with their father, no, the most important thing was the NC scene. Like, seriously, are you actually watching the show for the story and the characters?

If you’re watching a love story and your biggest complaint is that the NC wasn’t “hot enough,” maybe the problem isn’t the scene. It’s your expectations. Not every intimate scene is there to entertain you sexually, sometimes it’s there to show love, intimacy, and the relationship between two people. If all you wanted was “in, out, done,” you really can just have sex yourself.
