Would it be better to watch previous parts before this one or is it mostly unrelated? I've seen some posts about…
Many would say the dramas are standalones but I would recommend to watch his parents story first! Like you will connect more with this world and the characters more!
Watched the first 3 eps! Can I just say my type is huge green flags!! I'm not a fan of toxic love tropes, so I'm really enjoying and loving the gentle slowburn-ish love between Fugui and Qingtong now ❤️
Also, I think having watched Love in Pavilion allowed me to understand the show more, like why Hongye is so cold to Fugui. I feel so bad for this father-son pair 🥺
The sudden loud music doesn't really fit the scenes imo but maybe because I haven't gotten use to it or is it because they are trying to give off donghua vibes?
Most anticipated and most awaiting too. We could've seen this drama when we had ee drama draught for 2 years if…
Right?! After watching MLC, I was waiting eagerly for this one but it did not air :( and then I heard that there's some issues (not sure what it is tho). Really really hope this drama can air. I'll watch it no matter how late it airs 🥺
Excited for tomorrow!! I have just finished a project today and tomorrow's episodes will be my reward 🥳 before I start on my next :')
Sooo many dramas airing this period and so little time. Am saving Whispers of Fate for the holidays. Sword and Beloved I can't resist because I love Cheng Yi too much >< Love and Pavilion was pretty good to me (I know it's controversial), so if Sword and Beloved can reach a better standard, I'll be happy!
I wonder if the cast are gonna be doing promotions >< I'll like to see Cheng Yi and Li Yitong (love them since their little interactions in Keep Running) along with other the other casts. I really hope it's possible, even if it's something minor!
Is 25th really confirmed? I don't dare to go weibo because of the crazy 营销号 accounts. I'm so happyyy :> but also worried. I just wanna watch this drama happily in peace 🥺 Just nice it's on the weekends 🥳
Cheng Yi fans are eating so well this year! (Not related to this drama but Vendetta of An is rumoured to come out end of year too omg!!)
Alright, I need to be prepared. Manhua readers, how possible is a happy ending for this one?? I'm always scared…
I have not watched all of the donghua but my understanding is that all of the endings are gonna be sad. Because the donghua has a modern era element, like the characters die in the past (historical setting) and they reincarnate in modern world. Clearly the drama doesn't have a modern era element...
Can you please tell me the connections and what is the order to watch between: Red Moon Pact, Love in Pavillon…
Err others have said that all three Foxspirit Matchmaker series are standalones, but personally, I would say watch Love in Pavilion before Sword and Beloved! You'll know more of the world building and stuff if you watch Love in Pavilion first. I'm not sure how reliable the drama is when it comes to explaining stuff since it's an adaptation, so better to watch Love in Pavilion at least?
Love in Pavilion takes place 1 generation before Red Moon Pact and Sword and Beloved.
Wangquan Fugui (Sword and Beloved) is the son of the ML and FL from Love in Pavilion. The ML from Red Moon Pact is Fugui's cousin.
Heard that Quan Wu Mu (Quan Ru Mu ? ) is Fugui's cousin. How come? Wangquan Zui is dead and Dongfang Qinlan only…
Errr I'm not sure about Quan Wu Mu being his cousin in the drama, but in the donghua, Wangquan Wumu (the character that Quan Wumu is probably based off) is Wangquan Fugui's ancestor from decades ago. This character is extremely popular in the donghua and should not appear in Wangquan Fugui's timeline. If Wumu appears in the same generation as Fugui, a lot of things are going to be different...But so far Love in Pavilion's adaptation was pretty good imo, hopefully Sword and Beloved can be even better!
All I know about this drama was that it's a revenge driven one. But now after reading the synopsis, it sounds so interesting!! So many veteran actors and the trailer looks so good too. Am actually quite excited for this one. Chinese fans say that we might be getting this on new years, not sure how true is that hmmm
I have rewatched this drama like literally 7-8 times? I actually first watched it during one of my lowest times, struggling with mental health problems. This drama is so meaningful and actually taught me so muchhh about life and letting go. It's not your typical Wuxia drama, would 100000% recommend it to anyone who haven't watch it yet! Li Lianhua and Fang Duobing are my comfort characters <3
I feel you, i was also as devastated as you, it feels like he is all alone with noone to help him but fans. But…
Thank you! Sometimes, I really do feel alone too when I feel see all those hate for CY, but thanks to everybody else who supports CY over here, I feel a little better🥺. Yes, I saw some posts on Weibo discussing about Huanrui deleting posts and dissolving CY's fan groups (?). This does seem to indicate that CY is leaving the company, but I also heard some rumours that he may be joining a company that is related to Huanrui (I hope not!!!). I feel like because CY is literally their only "cash cow" left, they'll make it very very hard for him to successfully leave in one piece, so I'm kind of scared. I really hope he can establish his own studio/company just like Yang Zi (another artist that left Huanrui). Right now, I just pray that he can be happy and healthy filming his new drama and that he'll be able to leave that company and have the freedom to choose more good scripts! Let's all support CY together ❤️❤️
Why isn't Han Weiping, the secretary (?) of the ML not listed in the cast? Or did I miss it? I thought he was familiar looking, I think he is Hei Ze but I'm not sure...
Omg I loveeee Xu Yan, she may be poor but she's not to be messed with or controlled by your dumb ass Hao Ming. You can only "control" her because she genuinely loves you. Now that Xu Yan knows the truth, bye byeeee.
Also, I think having watched Love in Pavilion allowed me to understand the show more, like why Hongye is so cold to Fugui. I feel so bad for this father-son pair 🥺

I could be wrong tho!
