I love this actress. She is in pretty much every drama I watch. I love her acting, and she looks beautiful and natural. I can recognise her voice as well. She usually is the mother of the poor FL lol...

I'm watching Dr Cha.... oh my God, this man is so hot!!! First time seeing him in anything. I had to look him up and I see he sings, what a wonderfully talented man. I hope he does more drama,want to see him as ML

You will love cdrama ‘General and i’. A lot of romance, hot kisses, awesome war/martial arts. It’s a bit long 62 episodes but you can skip some parts, really beautiful OST too. FL (Angelababy) is not the best actress but she is very pretty and awesome chemistry. Both ML and 2nd ML are good looking too. Please watch, you won’t regret.

Angelababy has another drama out now, good romantic historical drama. ‘Everlasting longing’. Her acting is much better here. Beautiful drama. ML is super hot. Please watch both dramas. Highly recommended!

Watching 'Everlasting Longing', I can say she definitely improved in her acting. She was pretty wooden in 'General and I'. And I love her voice. She dubbed herself in Everlasting Longing.

Its the theme now for young Male actors to be paired with older FLs, another recent one is The Double, also The story of Kunning palace although age difference is minor. I also notice this in some of the kdrama. Seems the cougar stage has arrived...lol

its her acting, could also be combination of plastic surgery/ and bad acting that her face doesn't move in a way you want to see emotions. I had problem with her acting also in 'General and I'. I did notice straightaway her lips/mouth area appeared to have been filled. It was noticeable in that drama. But her acting has improved in this current drama somewhat, but I'm still in early episodes. She is not known to show much emotional depth in her drama. And in General and I had problem with her smiling when it was inappropriate. It appeared to me she was more concerned with looking pretty rather than actually embodying the character she meant to.

you were talking about her voice or her talk? she is meant to act like a male initially, and wears male clothing... drama is good overall, I'm enjoying it, 5th episode already, i started today. You missing out. Yes she may not be the best actress but this should not deter you from watching it. Her acting has greatly improved since last time I saw her in a drama. Lots of others great actors, eye candy, beautiful costumes... its may not be the best production but doesn't seem high budget drama overall, but seems good for what it is.

Yes you misinterpreted my point. But its true the younger a person is the more they would think a 40 year old actor is old and middleaged. While a 22 year is good and appropriate. Even if the 40 year old actor looks very young is appropriate for the age he is portraying. I never stated the former poster was shallow or immature or has nothing of substance to contribute, so don't put words in my mouth.. Its your own judgements that are the problem.

Well people are still watching it even after 8 years, you can’t say it hasn’t stood the test of time. According to who? Have you done research? Wallace looks 30 in that drama and that’s about the age he meant to portray. You don’t like Wallace and that’s fine. Who cares really.

You must be very young, teenager? That would explain it… the older generation we like real men as ML, not someone who looks 18…Wallace was 40 in that drama but looks 30, and FL was just 25 at the time. Not old at all. You can’t decide what people going to like. Everyone is different. my post was for everyone. Not just you. Let people judge for themselves.

Personally I wasn’t that impressed with the Double. I liked ‘General and I’ better. I like the story but the main leads have lack of chemistry. ML is too young in the Double. General and I was high rated drama in China. It is not quite a revenge drama. But he fight scenes are amazing, much better than the Double. Anyway, it’s just a suggestion for people who want to see something else. I’m not comparing the two really. And there is no need for it.

Anyone looking for a drama to watch, I recommend 'General and I'. I enjoyed it, Its an older drama with Wallace Chung and Angelababy. its pretty long though and lots of filler episodes that you can skip if you want. Also you will see a familiar face there from the Double. Its a war/palace drama with lots of great fight scenes, and lots of romance, if you craving for it. FL needs acting classes though,but she improves in the 2nd half. But both MLs are dreamy. Lots of eye candy too. lol Highly recommended!

Yeah I am watching it now, she is very pretty but lacks in acting skills, has same face in every scene, and not much emotional depth. I recently watched The Double, the FL there was phenomenal, actress Wu JinYan, would have been a much better drama if she was FL.

I loved his playfulness. You should have continued with it as ML carried this drama. He was one of the most loving caring protective ML I have seen in a longtime. He never got angry at FL even when she was stubbornly doing something that just brought more problems for her and her group of friends, and made him suffer. This is a light watch. Music was delightful and some amazing kissing scenes.
