Does anyone else have the feeling that mom is the one who planned everything and is slowly directing the show?…
She did not mean the "right path" that way. She is quite clueless about his son's sexual orientation or at least she is in denial. What she was more likely to mean is that she expects In to "domesticate" Wang out of his rebellious nature.

I don’t think Mol is as oblivious as she’d want to be, she knew the man she wanted didn’t want her. But…
Before improvidently throwing around insults like "coward", it is worth considering
- especially if someone calls themselves an ally - that the whole thing took place twentysomething years ago in a completely different society.

She is homophobic
She is not exactly homophobic. She certainly has grudges about the gays, but that has more to do with her own personal history of marrying a gay guy. Without that she would not be like this.

Does anyone else get the feeling that the catalyst for Siam and Mol's divorce and Inn leaving the country and…
That is what Sasiwimiol started to tell In the night she was drunk. On the night when Siam drove away from her and died in a car accident, she wanted to tell him she knew he was gay.

Meen and Rossi show all those amateur Bangkok boys what acting is, and Mind Trio show the big companies how to…
Meen and Rossi are Bangkok-based too, as far as I know. They both act in other big productions in supporting roles (I hope they get leading roles soon). And MindTrio is a Bangkok company too, I guess. Most of their shows were filmed in Bangkok. They definitely beat many big studios with their content.

That would be great. The Once in Memory movies were extraordinary as well, although they were more like "normal"…
Chiang Mai is a fantastic place. I thoroughly enjoyed myself when I was there. I have been walking around that gate a lot too. They have an amazing night market too.

Exactly.
Some arguments from the moaners would not hurt for a change, but I have not seen one so far. Repeating that it is "confusing" and "artsy" are not ones. But MDL does not matter, thank god. This series is popular, MindTrio has reached its highest number of followers and views thanks to this.

So as it seems at this stage, the stranger game of Mon and Mork were playing with Tiew inadvertently caused one of their death. Yet it is still not revealed whether Mork or Mon died. The last scene with Mork/Mon in the car suggests a car accident.

No that I care much if a guy is feminine or not, but actually Mike Lin made more feminine Jerry than Chiu Mu Han does. I love them both btw.
(It is interesting to watch the video also where Yeh Yung-Chih's mom speaks on the Taiwan pride. The show's OST "It's OK" is clearly inspired by her speech. Some of her expressions were taken in directly to the lyrics. Amazing woman).

Seriously it is getting increasingly annoying to read the endless whining about this show being confusing. Yeah, it is a deliberately mysterious and confusing puzzle piece which keeps using heavy symbolism, metaphors, ambiguous allusions, unusual twists, hidden meanings, cross references and deliberately baffling and complex narrative turns.

The entire point of the series is to make you create theories, use your brain and imagination and try to unfold the mystery from the traces it sprinkles at you step by step. That is the very essence of this kind of entertainment.

If you cannot live without linear storytelling and spoon-feeding scripts, then this show is probably not for you, but that is your problem and not the fault of the show. Being pissed that a show apparently determined to be a confusing puzzle piece actually confuses and puzzles is pointless, makes no sense and very immature. Just like complaining that you you don't know who the killer is in a detective thriller or that you see violence in an action movie.

Anyone please tell me what Jimmy is struggling with...did i miss something??That came out in ep 5...
He is different in a way that he is American-minded in Taiwan. He is different as a foreigner not as a queer.

That sex scene was out of nowhere lmao. like it was in the morning, they just woke up, they had morning breath…
I suggest you to consult with gays. As one of them, I can assure you spontaineous morning fuck with morning breath between guys is more common than what you think.

Title Papa & Daddy Season 2 Spoiler
It is not true that Damian sweeps the possibility of having another kid with Jerry away. He came up with the financial situation only to demonstrate that it was not the best timing for that. He was honest and told Jerry frankly that he does not really want another kid atm, but he made sure if that is what Jerry really wanted he was willing to go with his plan. His problem is that he finds that at this stage this is more like the outcome of Jerry's parents constant nagging than what Jerry really wants, and Damian feels Jerry is trying to appease his parents, and he is not entirely wrong about this.

And he only backtracked right after then, because the Pans cornered him in an extremely uncomfortable and pushy way. He finds the reasoning about the importance of preserving Jerry's bloodline and the heist book both rather ancient and what is more important fairly disrespectful towards Kai, rendering him to be somehow not the real grandchild, someone who is secondary in a way. And Damian actually has a point. Very much.

Damian also supported Jerry in a lot of ways. He agreed to send Kai to kindergarten even if he thought it was too early, but he knew he owed that to his partner. He was also ready to pose as a friend, at least not to tell Jerry's parents about them for years, despite him being totally out of the closet, just because Jerry was not ready. He obviously had guilty conscience not to be Jimmy's side and he wanted to keep him by his side ever since he came to Taiwan, but he tried to be considerate and see what may upset Jerry.

Damian made his mistakes, but on the whole he has always been a caring and considerate partner for Jerry. The frightfully one-sided and very iniquitous, black and white Damian-bashing started to get on my nerves, but I don't know why am I surprised, I should know this board better.

I’m worried Damian’s drinking is going to become a problem in the upcoming episodes.
So far he is not drinking more than anyone else around him.

So you believe the teacher wasn't a homophobic trash and she isn't greatly prejudiced against Jimmy??
She is prejudiced against Jimmy both for his gay father and for him being from the US, basically for being a foreigner, so she is not only homophobic but also xenophobic. She shouts Jimmy's hair down because he dares to open his mouth in English after being in Taiwan for 3 months. She makes homophobic remarks at Damien as him being a negative influence on his son. She lectures him about how to bring Jimmy up and what Damian should refrain from in his private life. She also freaks out that Jimmy might date some girl from the same class because it is allegedly not allowed in her class, where she obviously wants to preserve the puritan atmosphere of the 1700s. She also expounds in disgust that Jimmy tried to raise openness and awareness among his classmates about the importance of daring to come out instead of encouraging potentially LGBTQ kids to stay in the closet as deep as possible and just shut the fuck up. Sure, Damian should have possibly waited until she suggests him to go to conversion therapy. I would have kicked that bitch out of the closed window straight away, but for some 'allies' (megalol) there's nothing wrong with this teacher. This show is certainly better off without some viewers.

Just chiming in to say that I am liking Season 2 just as much as I liked Season 1, if not more.
I completely agree with you. The reason it pissed off so many butthurt gatekeepers is a plus.

In's instant attraction to Wang reads like "you look just like your father who I've been secretly in love with…
When Sasiwimol told In the story of the last night she saw Siam, that she knew what the reason was for their divorce, and Siam's reaction as he run away and quickly after died in an accident was pretty much that Sasiwimol wanted to tell him she knew he was gay. She probably suspected a liaison between him and In too, but she is in denial or she escapes back to her fantasy world, where she likes to escape to, especially when the reality is not pretty (quoted from her).
