Kang Dan Ho is maybe the father of the smart little girl from the park scene. Mo eum's mother was also about say…
You might be right. I was scratching my head why are we having so much screen time for random kid? Then I thought maybe they are trying to show that Moeum is having some elevated longing for kids lool. *Face Palm*
I honestly don't want to pick on them, but unfortunately it is true. I used English (CC) instead of English, and it worked. Even when they speak in English there are subtitles. Once these scenes were over, I switched it back.
yes he has a privilege but rubbing it on his face and give the privilege a credit of his success and well-mannered…
I won't repeat what @Kate already said above, because she said it very well.
I just want to address the "rude" part. In the first case, it is not rude to tell your best friend some harsh truths. That is what best friends are for. They can tell each other harsh things, and the other usually process it (even if it angers them, or upset them momentarily) because it is not malicious. In the second case, I think it is very brave rather than rude. He deserves a credit for fostering an enviornment where his employee can be so frank with him, but again, it is not rude to point out to him how his actions are affecting those around him.
..and I think it was very realistic how it was presented. A friend told him in a much harsh and direct way, while his employee in a very calm and gentle way.
Because This is My First Life. Incidently also starring jung Somin was 2017 drama that also has a cohabiting couple (not spoiler. It is evident from E1), so I am not sure it is a taboo, but I agree it is very unusual.
Btw, if you haven't seen that drama, I think you should check it out. Although I am enjoying this one, BTMFL is much better imo. It tackles a lot of real problems (much more directly than this) about life and relationships, but still has enough lightheartdness and fluff.
The base plot is obviously copied from Welcome to Samdal-ri.
You have every right to state your opinion. You even have the right to say it is a bad drama. However, you must admit that the way you put it is very ambiguious and open to speculations. I am sorry, but you didn't state your opinion in a simple clear way. You listed all similiarties and finished by posing a question. Anyway, as I said in my original post, if it is only an observation like you have explained now, then there is nothing to discuss really. You have the right to make that observation.
I am currently watching this.I have an observation about the end of episode 13
Maybe I am in minority, but to me she was WAY more beautiful in those casual clothes and simple make up than when she came to the party. Nothing about her looked better.
The base plot is obviously copied from Welcome to Samdal-ri.
Fair enough. Let's say the basic plot is 100% identical. So, what? If you are making a simple observation, then fair enough, you are like tons of other posters who made the same observation. Case closed, and you don't have to read the rest. But, if you are trying to say this is somehow diminish the series, then I beg to differ.
This is not a mystery, or Sci-Fi where a genuinely unique idea make a difference. This is drama about life. The overwhelming majority of people don't have unique lives. Furthermore, it is the execution that matters. I mean, how many of us here on MDL can write a drama even if we copy 100% the plot? A drama is FAR more than just a simple plot and setting. I can understand that watching similar plots can get repetitive. On that you are right, but if you mix genres when you choose what to watch you should be fine.
Only two Korean shows in the chart, Boy next door and Romance in the house as of August 22, 2024, at 12PM from…
I am talking about the whole world list. It is the simple flixpatrol.com UK, along with the rest of Western Europe actually not that perceptive to Kdramas (Still a sizeable growing minority, but nothing like the rest of the world) . West Europe has been the toughest market to crack. Hard to say for sure what is the reason, but I think it is the combination of existing local and regional productions, US content is still popular, and differences in cultural and acting ways.
Personally I LOVE it. I watched 2 or 3 times. I also lost count how many times I watched my favourite parts. Whenever I get gloomy, I just put it on. The early episodes are top notch comedy. Shin Hye Sun is marvellous.
FL acted like someone who hit rock bottom. And her antics are like a cry for help. Sadly, no one seemed to care…
You are right overall. But, I disagree that you need a major event to quit when it comes to burnout. Burnout is all about cumulative effect. I don't know what will they show us in the drama, but I was making a general obseravtion about burnout.

Ok. There is a change since I have looked at it this morning. Miss Night and Day was there. So, I guess what I said was as of 21/08. But, regardless. It is not uncommon to see 50% or more of TV shows being non-Americans.
Looking at Netflix Top 10 today, it is quite amazing that there are 3 South Korean TV shows, and 1 from Thailiand. Considering that 2 out of Top 10 are not TV shows (one documentary, and one reality show). And also one TV show (Lost) is kind of a classic. So, that is really more than 50% of the *new* TV series coming from East Asia. Who would have thought that this happens?
You need to add one of those "I am not a robot" thingy as a condition for replies lol.I also loved "Because This…
No problem :) Btw, whenver you have a very unpopular opinion you can quote (allegedly) Voltaire when he disliked a widely popular thing "40 million Frenchmen can't be right" lol.
So 2000 ballot-stuffing bots and screaming fangirls have rated this an implausible 8.7 after only two episodes.…
You need to add one of those "I am not a robot" thingy as a condition for replies lol. I also loved "Because This Is My First Life". It is in my top 10 Kdramas. I haven't watched MMH. 2 episodes is not enough to judge, but it is enjoyable so far. First episode was Ok, but 2nd was much better. I don't think it will be as good as TIMFL, but it is promising. It is by the same writer of Hometown cha cha cha. So, that should give you an idea. Lots of banter between main couple.
I am probably older than you and I think the Mom line is borderline disgusting. Why is it comedy when a mother…
Meaning of life can be discussed in any form :) You are entitled to dislike the writing or portrayal. Personally, I don't think the Mother is too exaggerated (apart from the beating). But, the original point I was making is that the Mother storyline has more substance than the banter. Whether it could have been handled better is another topic.

let me make something clear first. I don't condone the beating, but it is played for laugh neverthless. I disagree with it though. I actually disagree with the Mother reaction on almost everything. But, these are real issues and very common. Parents putting unduly pressure on their children. We don't have to like the Mother or agree with her to appreciate that storyline. It has more weight and has more relation with real life and society than mindless funny banter between childhood friends about beans, or toilet. I actually wasn't too happy by how quickly the mother changed her stance. In my opinion it should have gone longer. P.S: Art is meant to show disgusting things.
I was half expecting that this girl is the daughter of the Gym's owner.

Btw..off topic question.
If you loved "My Liberation Notes" so much, how comes you haven't watched "My Mister"?
