Episode 4 is great. I loved seeing them work together and then the big reveal! I was wondering earlier in the episode why the scene outside the fried chicken restaurant didn’t seem quite finished even though she was walking away. I may rewatch the episode today even though I’ve never done that before with other dramas. I’ll rewatch something a month or two later but never the same day.

I like your interpretation. I’ve actually seen where relationships have ended (sometimes not even as badly as this one) and the people involved changed lots temporarily or permanently. Some took a long leave of absence from work, others started acting/dressing younger, some became more adventurous and so on. I don’t find what has happened in this show to be unrealistic.

I’d never seen him before in anything else. The only other drama of his that I want to watch is Navillera. I don’t watch that many Netflix dramas, so that’s probably why I wasn’t familiar with him as well. I’m glad though because then I’m not fixated on him being young. The age gap in Forecasting Love and Weather isn’t much and they look great together.

I love the scene between Ma Le and Cao Ling where he tells her how he may go bankrupt soon. Their entire lunch together made me teary and smile at parts. Ma Le is so far one of my most favourite characters in any drama. I haven’t finished the show yet, so hoping this doesn’t change.

I prefer the 24 episode Chinese dramas, but I think the end of this one will be majorly rushed.

Doesn’t the opening or closing credits show them together? I guess it could also be a flashback episode from happier times for them. Anyway, the husband dealt with the situation in an immature manner but so typical in dramas. I suspected something was odd because he seemed like he still cared lots for her.

I’ve seen all but River Runs Through It and Miss S. Will add those 2 to my watchlist because I fully agree with the rest of your list. Really loved both You Are dramas.

I’ve just finished Rational Life and 20 episodes or so into My Fated Boy. I prefer the female lead in Why Women Love the most. The one in Rational Life didn’t really fight for herself until nearly the end and let everyone walk all over her. The one in My Fated Boy is a bit self-centred. The one in Why Women Love is just the right amount of strong and independent. She’s just clueless about relationships because she has no experience. I find Why Women Love the funniest of the 3 and I prefer the chemistry of the leads. I hope it continues to be good.

I’m going to be sad to see this end because it’s been a good stress reliever.

Wrong day for me to start this one. I’m super emotional and the first episode already made me cry a couple of times. 2nd ep is going to kill me.

Totally agree. I do prefer Yanran to a totally evil manipulative character, but I would prefer a more realistic character or someone more goofy rather than a child-like woman.

I’m seriously struggling with Ruoxin’s mom. I’m on episode 15 and still no sympathy.

Really enjoyed this movie and the reviews and comments sections here on MDL has been a fun and sometimes educational read. Some very eloquent posts.

TV-14 in Canada as well which is about right.

The beginning (up to episode 8 or so) really annoyed me and I almost dropped this show. Once the FL stopped crying and started working hard and became friends with the ML, the show got very good. Some parts were a bit frustrating, but I couldn’t stop watching and was sorry to see this end.

What episode does the FL stop crying? She’s hard to watch.

I’m sure I’ve seen this drama in the last 3 months because all the photos are very familiar to me yet I remember absolutely nothing about this show. Most shows leave some sort of impression, but this one is oddly completely blank.

I thought Boris was just doing his regular vlog. I didn’t get the impression that he works there, but thatwhole emding was a mess.

That annoyed me too, but she becomes more mature once she starts learning to cook.

The FL was annoying and immature in the first few episodes, but she’s maturing well as she learns to cook. This show is beautifully shot — the images, colours, moods and of course the food.
