Funny how people who keep blabbing about Rui’s “great resources” conveniently forget that just a few years ago, over 150 industry insiders were literally calling for GJM to be pushed out of public media.

During the hurricane scene, I was wondering why Rui’s position seemed so horizontal to the ground, because I clearly remembered from the Reuters that he was hanging upside down and was so dizzy when the scene ended.

And the scenes with the character from your profile pic looked better in the Reuters too.

No scenes/filming for Rui in the last two days, or is it even more super secret now?

Edit: Sorry for the off-topic question, but is anyone else having problems with the desktop version of MyDramaList? For the past few weeks, it’s been constantly freezing and crashing, and I can’t figure out whether the problem is on my end or theirs. I definitely don’t have issues like this nearly as often with other sites.

I was lazy, so I mostly only know about TJR’s Reuters scenes, but yeah, I’ll forever be bitter about that bloody tears scene. It was one of the scenes of his I was most looking forward to.

I like how GJM makes scenes look pretty, but at the same time, what’s the point of spending multiple days filming scenes that end up lasting one second? Especially when they’re dangerous for the actors. Like that ZYC teenage mutant ninja turtle jump scene in FOF, or those waist-bending scenes in VOS.

No, not that. It’s just that both Ren Suxi and Yan Ni are nominated for Leading Actress at the Golden Eagle Awards. If one of them ends up winning, then maybe iQIYI will finally start promoting the drama again.

If Rui gets a guest role in this drama, at least by the time BYP comes out, he should have a few more non-GJM dramas already released. And people will have less ammunition for their arguments.

I hope if TJR ends up being in BYP, GJM at least gives us and him a cool character/scene. Not what he did with Sun Chenyun in VOS. Was it even worth all that time sitting in the makeup chair just to get 10 seconds of screentime? I don't think even his MJTY CP shippers cared about that cameo.

I meant more like marketing accounts/haters are gonna use their old material instead of actually doing some research. Like, a few accounts listed him as a possible culprit for stealing highlights from the male lead on TLORC. There were also comments spouting nonsense about his character (Yan Jiang) wearing headbands again. 😂 I guess I blinked too much and somehow missed both the stolen highlights and the headbands.

If all 3 were in the same category, then the line-up would be 1. TJR 2. BSE 3. HJY.

Tian and Bao both have 5 strokes in their surnames, but Rui has the advantage because his full legal name has fewer strokes. And Huang has 11 strokes, so more than the other two combined. So no wonder he's the only one in the main line.

I guess we'll see soon. 3x main would be logical to me on MDL. At least it's not a multiple-couple drama, so people wouldn't be as confused as they were with VOS.

I remember. I loved that stage! Though I never understood why he was invited to perform as part of a cybersecurity and political science lecture or whatever it was, other than the fact that it was in his home province. It makes much more sense now.

Wasn’t that young actors’ program he went on during FOF filming called Starry Sea or something? He went in 2023, and I think Xia Zhiguang went in 2024 and mentioned that Rui had given him advice about it.

Anyway, in 2023 they were on some kind of farm first, and later there was a gala. And he took pictures with goats, wore a hat, and happily ran around with a cart. On the farm, not at the gala. 😂
