The only new rumor I've seen this month is the one with Dai Luwa, but I have no idea how credible it is. It seems that drama isn't planned to start filming until November anyway.

Ying Lei's death was the hardest for me to accept. It felt meaningless because all they needed to do was tell Li Lun about that damned root earlier.

Ying Lei's fear and final words were absolutely heartbreaking. It never felt like he realized his decision would cost him his life.

Other than Ying Lei's, I didn't have any major issues with the other sacrifices. At least the others knew they weren't going to make it out alive. And it was their free choice.

GJM (director) once said that the main theme of FOF was life and death. VOS was about love and obsession and I think MJTY was about family and duty.

At this point, I don't really get why people criticize his plots/writing so much. I've watched the first episodes of plenty of hyped dramas, and I never felt their plots were all that impressive either.

And he can at least create compelling characters—or at least cast actors who can truly bring them to life. I also like that his characters are flawed and layered. But right now, it almost feels like, for the mainstream audience, every character has to be either a girlboss or a superhero.

I'm probably not the right person to answer that. I only watched episodes 9 and 10 because Tian Jiarui was a guest mentor in those episodes. 😅

Sorry. 🥹 VOS really was quite angsty. I had the advantage of knowing a lot of the spoilers beforehand, so I was mentally prepared for what was coming. That still didn't stop me from crying my eyes out during several episodes, though.
