My first line? Now I'm not sure I understood your question. I thought you were asking about the episode 8 scene and why she's working with him. I was trying to explain that she's working with him because she wants out of her sect. Long Shen promised that she and her "sisters" would all be free soon. I think the reasons why she wants to leave her sect are explained later.

They will get more screentime in that arc.
