About his backstory, I actually hope they'll show later how he met Wey Ying's character and how they became friends. I have no idea whether it was ever shown in the original, but I would still love to see it.
His getting-lost scenes are fun, but I wouldn't mind them cutting a few of those scenes if it meant we got more of his backstory instead. I think those scenes would be much deeper and more meaningful.
