The only downside is that this isn't a full-length drama. I feel like even if it was just a few eps longer it woud have flowed so much better, idk exactly why but the way the story unfolds felt really choppy in the earlier episodes. Maybe it really got better later or I just got used to it after a while, but yeah.
I'm gonna check out some other dramas of the ML now, because he really caught my eye with his acting... and his face. It's honestly just a joy to look at him😆

The villain mentioned in the last ep: "everyone who came here today, did it for you". And he's so right - we, people of culture, only gathered here to see more of Dai and then got utterly disappointed that they dared to waste his talent like that 🥲
On another note, I liked that top-tail hairstyle (at least sth new!) though if that's the cause of all that nonsense I'll shout "chop it off" at the top of my lungs with no hesitation. And tbh I would have preferred to see more of him with that long white hair anyway.... Now I even start missing the rogue hair strand because even that made more sense than whatever this thing here was 😭

Okay, let's just leave it at that. Tbh in the past hour, I've already given up and surrendered to the fact that we will never fully know what was going on and then I franticly started looking for another drama to start so that I can forget this thing even happened. 🤣

I just burst out laughing reading your comment. Considering what a mess the plot of this drama was, "not my cup of tea" is the understatement of the century. 😂😂 But I 100% agree with you, DGZ finally needs a proper role in a good full-length drama!

What in the scrambled egg plot is this?? It fried my brain trying to understand the plot and I lost half my brain cells trying to follow this story line that felt like a pile of spaghetti, a 100 loose, jumbled strings leading nowhere.
I guess DGZ wanted to finally play a different role and I was excited about that in the beginning too ((and dumb bcs I ignored all the comments warning me not to dive into this mess, but what can I do - I see Dai, I click - but I digress)), but this was not it. 😭 😭 😭
It feels like they tried to squeeze the plot of what could have been a whole 40 ep drama into a mini drama and left out half of the story. You cannot seriously try to have a meta level plot and only use 10 mins of the whole runtime to explain that everything that's happened in that meta universe is the reason for what we just witnessed in this whole other dimension that actually doesn't really matter in the end? Why did we even watch this then? 😵‍💫 The ending leaves you questioning wether this is the prequel for another drama containing the actual plot. I'm so frustrated. Not even when watching dramas that not even try to have a plot I was THIS frustrated. 🤯
I'm sorry to Dai but I need to be honest: I don't necessarily need romance (and his kisses) in his dramas and was really excited to see him play a role different from his usual ones, but if the plot is THAT bad I definitely need a bit of romance and at least one of his kisses to save the day. At the end of this drama, I wasn't even excited anymore that he appears in like 90% of the scenes... and that is saying something 😭
Let me go rewatch some DGZxCFT dramas to cleanse my brain from the spaghetti-egg-mix I just forced myself to ingest just to see more of Dai 😭❤️‍🩹

Also the one who reached that extraordinary level of "intent-to-ether" wasn't Lui Jie himself, who already had max level of intent power P10 in ep. 1, but somene called "Qiersa" with only level P3 of intent power? (whatever those power level even mean...)

Anyways, I'm not trying to criticize you, I'm genuinely impressed you even tried to to summarize this mess of a plot. And I'm still trying to understand the plot. I rewatched that scene of him talking to his future self way to many times and went back to ep 1 to recheck how he the world and MLs character was introduced and still don't get what I've even watched right now. ㅠㅠ

I really liked it, but I just wished the ending was longer or at least better explained. Not even reading the alternative script for ep 40 that others mentioned satisfied me, because how would she even end up in the ocean? I really feel like they could have spent 10 min more on how this happened. Since anything is possible anyway it wouldn't be that hard either...

I stumbled across this by chance and luckily finished it before I knew about the hype and drama surrounding it. I'm so glad I could just enjoy it without knowing anything about that whole mess and without building up any expectations for another season. Because what can I say, I ended up loving it just for what it is.
It was a damn rollercoaster of emotions but I loved every second of it. Akin opening up and closing himself off again multiple times was exhausting but also realistic and just portrayed so beautifully by Boom, just wow.
And Jin - what an unwavering pillar of strength! They really found the perfect actor for that role, too. Tbh I found Jin kinda annoying and too clingy/cringey in the beginning, but he really grew on me bcs of his sweet puppy energy. In hindsight, this is exactly how his relationship with Akin develops as well, so now I'd say I was just fully immersed in Jin's way of getting Akin to open up to him and it worked on me, too :')
I just wished they wouldn't have let Johnny get away with what he did so easily. I get that he has connections and they had no other option at that time, but just imagining the terrible fear of not knowing what happened to yourself made me so upset already. It's sometimes even worse than knowing that sth bad happened. (tbf Jin kissing Akin while asleep isn't okay either)

I know that but he could still at least ask Charan about news about Thatdanai once? Or even just mention it in a half sentence when he is venting and complaining about having to follow all those rules and his grandfather's commands anyway. In that way, the viewer wouldn't get the feeling he has completely forgotten about it.
Anway, I'm still looking forward to the next ep. bcs I'm more interested in the Thatdanai plot than the rest and I still have hope they'll manage to wrap up everything decently.

Just binged up to ep 9 and I'm still not sure if I really like it. Like it's not bad, but they started a 1000 plot lines. Some things get dragged out too long, others get brushed over really quickly and there are only so few eps left to wrap everything up. How will that work out?
What annoys me the most is that Khanin seemingly has forgotten why he agreed to go to Emmaly in the first place. While I'm glad to see that he finally gets more involved into politics now, he completely forgot that he wanted to find out who attacked him and his dad (Thatdanai). At least Charan hasn't forgotten, but come on... Feels like Khanin just got used to being the prince in no time and became amnesiac "My dad? Who you talking about?"

In the beginning, I was just in awe and kept saying "what a smart and strong FL" and "what a scary but at the same time adorable ML" ! I loved the balance between the light-hearted and the serious scenes, the way the love story of the main leads developed slowly, but realistically and how beautifully they showed how difficult yet important building trust is as foundation of any relationship.
But what really made this drama perfect imo were all the interesting and lovely side characters! I can't remember having watched a drama in which I grew so fond of *all* the side characters and thus cried more for them than for the ML+FL. Also, the villains were so good, too! Even though I hated them, I didn't feel like skipping their scenes because they had actual reasons for having become that way and not were just plain evil and stupid.

Enjoyed this more than expected and even wished this drama was a bit longer. Seeing all the negative comments, I thought I was in for some kinda good trash - and yes, the production was definitely low cost - but there's so much I thought was genuinely good:
+ all of the FL's hair styles, clothes and accessories are so pretty
+ FL character was really adorable, but also capable and strong (sometimes a bit stupid as well, but the few really annoying scenes were bearable)
+ ML being the most masochistic ML I've seen in a long while was kinda stupid but also kinda hot (don't mind me I like my MLs to be suffering 😂)
+ good balance of funny, light-hearted and serious scenes and almost no moments where the change disrupted the drama's flow

But some things were annyoing too:
- discontinuity between scenes
- drugging each other is definitely not it
- many interrupted or cut kiss scenes
- way too many forced, unnecessary and prolonged misunderstanding bcs ML thinks keeping the FL in the dark is the best for her
- rushed reconciliation + abrupt ending

Hahahaha bravissimo, you've outdone yourself! 👏👏👏 No worries, because as a fringe critic myself, I conclude this has the perfect length! Any wordplay-lover to which I also count myself will enjoy every single pun they can find 😂

"DGZ (the man, the myth, and the legend)" should become the title for a documentary series about him - I'd definitely be glued to his ab-- um no, to my screen from start to finish 😍

Maybe you should volunteer to join the writers for DGZ next drama? Maybe then the scripts would be more fleshed-out then. Like some of the mediocre ones he had to save using all (the flesh) he's got to offfer could have seriously needed your creativity. Though I don't complain about that outcome either (more 🔥 to enjoy for us 😏), I sometimes wished his glorious hotness would be the cherry on top and not the saving grace 🙃

Smiling DGZ with puppy eyes vs Brooding DGZ with soul-devouring death stares
or
DGZ with lush hair (rogue hairstrand optional) vs DGZ with buzz cut
Like any option including DGZ is not an option, but a must. How much DGZ do you want? - Yes!!

Ahh the pilot uniform clips .. holy..., no wonder your ice cream melted 🥵 I also hope for a modern drama in which he wears any kind of uniform. But even more for a full length drama (no matter the genre) which is long overdue 😭😭

But seriously, those edit creators always find the best fitting songs that make those shorts 100times better. The second clip with the music in the background going "every block boy needs a little love" made me laugh so hard because in all the behind the scenes DGZ is always all smiley and the puppy energy is so strong. So when I see him acting all gangster I just can't-😆
