I have never found the FL particularly hateful and thought all those unnecessary hate for her was uncalled for. Her main problem was she didn't want to get married due to a deep trauma that happened in her life. She is smart, loyal and not a pushover. After they got back together around episode 12, they were very supportive and trust each other. All 6 characters grew quite a bit and learned to change and think about the others needs. I was satisfied with the character development and it was a decent watch. Bonus point for finally seeing the FL take the initiative to propose to the ML. She also sincerely apologized for her behaviour and regret for the last 5 years. It felt so good to finally see a FL do that because I've always felt that in all the recent dramas, the love was so uneven, that the MLs seems to love the FLs way more. Here I can see that their love were mutual.

I love the last 2 episodes. A very strong finish and it makes me forgive/forget some of the unpleasantness in the beginning. I'll put the rest in spoiler.

No they started dating very early, like episode 12 and they have been very supportive and helping each other grow and facing all the on-going issues with the show and FL's personal issues together.

I think it's true in a way but the dad is showing favoritism since he is the son of his favorite concubine and he is registered in the Luo's family. The ML is not considered his son since he is not registered, hence he can't even take the scholar exam. He has no identity.

Why don't you watch it yourself and make your own judgement. I think that's the problem with this drama. Everyone read the comments here and make judgment before actually watching it. Everyone see things differently and have different perspective.

Although I don't like the dad and not condoning his action, I still think his idea of watching his own funeral is ingenious idea. He gets to see all the people one last time and see who will show up for his funeral lol

Episode 19: Now i get why she was that way. The poor girl had a traumatic past regarding her parents relationship with love and marriage. I don't blame her for not believing in marriage and forever love.

Yes me too. The wait is just too long. I used to watch k-dramas but when I got into c-dramas, I got spoiled and lose my patience with k-drama schedules. Now I don't watch airing k-dramas anymore.

C-drama watchers are spoiled. You usually get express option too for the last 4-6 episodes. No Korean drama does that. Regular 16 episodes will take 8 weeks to be done. 40 episodes dramas are usually done in 3 weeks with express.

Exactly. He knows they are not related. I would be concerned only if he did it thinking she's his sister.

Yes, Korean dramas are usually 1 hr long but you only get 2 episodes a week. I'll take this over that any day of the week!

Yeah, it's nice to see a ML who was low-born and rises to the top. Most MLs are princes or high ranking officials.
