Yes I prefer 30 something years old actors in xianxia roles...it's more believable. But I don't like 30+ actors playing 18 yrs old in wuxia. Also didn't like 22-24 yrs old playing CEOs.

I'm at episode 4. The ML's father makes the mother look like a saint compare to him. I guess it gets more complicated and frustrated later on with 3rd parties SML and SFL.

omg if I was in their situation, I would move far far away from all of them, preferably in another country. Such toxic parents/in-laws.

I agree with this. Just watched a few episodes and it gives a feel of more realistic couple who are not perfect and dealing with life the best they can. Just like us regular folks.

I just started this and I like it. It's different from other cdramas and more realistic. Refreshing to watch so far...

The expression "I'm not a big fan of" is a diplomatic way of saying "I don't like". English is probably not your first language, so just letting you know.

That's an odd statement. On one hand, you're not a big fan of ZLY but then she is your #2 ranking actress??

I felt the same way when I watched it. Looks fake to me too with the angle which was weird since both of them had some good kissing scenes in other dramas.

haha mine too. The dubbing for ZYX was horrible but I have a soft spot for it.

Guess you're in the minority. Most people seem to like it. If you find it boring, it's probably not for you.

I like him and his acting. Not everyone is going to like the same and it's ok if you don't but yeah I get it, it's not as enjoyable. I didn't watch Burning Flames because I don't like the ML but seems like alot of people like him.

ah i see. So adr is used when the dialogue is not clear or not good and they would just dub over part of it, instead of all dialogue. Thanks for clarifying this for me.

I don't know enough about how it works. I thought adr and dubbing are the same. I just figure voice actors who are professionals and had tons of experiences might have been better than the actors who has never done it before even though they are dubbing over their own voice.

Regardless, using their own voice to dub is the same as using dubbing voice. Sometimes using voice dubbing might be better since they are professionals and did it better than actors who has little or no experience. Unfortunately, Chinese dramas make no allowance for their natural voice while filming.
