I see it as their time to grow as individuals and decide on what they want in life. Even after 5 years, their heart is still with each other, then it's meant to be. I'm glad the FL didn't mope around waiting for him. She got her own life and moving on.

I'm not too sure about attires for offices in China but I can tell you for high school and university, that is the appropriate clothing for teenager and young people. The other high school/ college dramas were way too conservative and not something trendy teenagers wear. I have a 15 years old and I don't think she owns a top that doesn't show off her midriff.

Exactly! I'm surprised it wasn't removed. Sometimes it's cool to have a small distinction like a tiny scar or a mole, and even in Bai Lu's case, a crocked tooth but I didn't find these nodes on his ear attractive at all.

I'm on ep 23 and I kind of get her reason why she acted that way with him. He is too needy and clingy. He needs to go and spread his wings, instead of clingy to her as a lifeline.

Oh yes you're on point. She is a know-it-all or she thinks she knows what's best for the ML. It really annoys me her telling him to quit his job or don't do this or that. I guess she is treating him like a kid and not a grown-up who can decide for himself.

The FL is definitely over-reaching when she got mad at him for choosing one university over the other. I totally get where she is coming from because I had the same issue with my 13 years old choosing a certain high school. I wanted him to go to one of the better high school but he wanted to apply for an Athletic program at a lesser high school. My husband thinks my son should be the one who decides where he wants to go and I shouldn't interfere but he's still a minor and as a mom I think we should be the one making the decisions. But Li Wu is NOT a minor and she is NOT his real sister. There should be no debate and HE should be the one making his decisions on his life, whatever the outcome is. That is definitely too controlling and over-stepping in my opinion.

I definitely get what you're saying but it's similar to First Frost and OG. The one who has the trauma or who has a traumatic past were always the one running away because they think they were unworthy and doesn't deserve to be loved. The other lead who was brought up being loved and knowing how to love will always be the one with the bigger heart and showing them how to love unconditionally.

Yes it was weird and I would like to know too. The dad was clearly an alcoholic if he ended up sleeping on the street frequently after getting drunk. The wife didn't seem to think it was a big deal either. Everyone was so casual about it.

FINALLY a normal ML who has an ex-girlfriend. Seems like ALL the ML, even though they are straight, never go near any women and never had a relationship because they were obsessed with the FL when they were young.

I don't mind the FL character to be more clingy than ML. In most dramas I've watched, it was always the ML who was clingy and simping for the FL. I don't mind the ML being a bit aloof but flirty at times.
