Yup i get that. I guess I wasn't prepared for the angst part with the invisible arc since it has been mostly fun and comedy for the most part. Definitely TJC outdone himself with his acting on that arc. But I'm glad for the sweetness in the last episode to leave a smile on your face ending.

This was surprisingly a fun and light drama. I wasn't able to find something to watch after TFF. I've tried to watch TBT like 4 times but I was so bored even though I love the leads but this hooked me in immediately. This is so refreshing and not the typical c-drama. The FL is not a pretty girl and the ML is not the typical strong and dominating type. I like the 2nd leads as well. The only part I didn't really like was the invisible arc but the ending was cute and very satisfactory.

Yup it's like an extended family but not necessarily blood related. Not sure about now but it was taboo to marry someone from the same village back then. I think most of the people remaining in the village are the very young and very old now. Most young adults moved away to the cities for better jobs.

I haven't watched the recent episodes but I don't think it's unrealistic regarding the surnames if they are descendants and settled on Flower street. My parents were from a small village and they all have the same surname, so each village have their own surname. It's cool, we don't live in China anymore but if they meet someone from around the area, they can identify where they are from by their surname.

They do just that the Eng subtitle changed to Fenghua. Like some people will call someone gege and such but the subtitle is their name.

Ah I see. I guess if you have a prejudice against someone, whatever they do you see it in a negative light. Hope I can see the changes soon. Kind of bother me when he treats SCC so not nice but falls for her filters.

I'm on ep 13 and a bit confused. TQ is attracted to 2 of the filters but not the real SCC?? How is that possible, that he's feeling his heart beat faster with the filters and not with SCC, if he's actually in love with her personality.

haha no worries BJT gets plenty of love on TFF page. It was really good. I can't watch 2 hot MLs at the same time either. I need my full attention on them. I'm sure you'll enjoy it after you get over TJC's TQ.

Ah thanks for the extra thoughts on this. I'm late to the party. I was watching TFF and Northward. It gets more outrageous with the alpaca now haha I guess I can only laugh

I'm on ep 7 and was wondering why the girls all think it was a good idea to kill off SM?? why can't she just leave the country or have SM cheat on TQ or something? It was hilarious but doesn't really make sense to create such an elaborate scheme just to break off TQ's obsession with SM.

Yup I was confused too in the beginning. Da Huazi is her nickname and people are calling her that but the subtitle is translating to her real name.

Da Huazi is Bai Lu's character so I'm not sure what you mean she didn't exist in the novel?

I agree with you. With so much positive comments and high rating, I was expecting way better but the characters weere quite bland. I don't like QiQi and didn't really like her friendship with Huan'er. I like Huan'er but I find her way too bland and too nice to everyone which makes her not that interesting as a character.

I'm on ep 9 and I'm not even sure why Huan'er still wants to be friends with QiQi. She has done nothing wrong and all she had even been was nice to her and treated her like her best friend. Huan'er is the type who makes friends easily, so not having qiqi as a friend is no big lost to her. Makes no sense she still persisted in being her friend.

I didn't see the cast for the class monitor, Xinyan. Did she have another name?

ikr. Usually if someone breaks his leg, they will put a cast on it and send you home. Then you use clutches or wheelchair in the meantime. You don't take up the hospital room for weeks.

I get what you're saying but it didn't really bother me that Landi Li's character is supposed to be average looking. Not sure if you're watching Northward, but Bai Lu portrayed an average -looking tomboyish teenager and she was quite believable but we all know how attractive she is in real life. We all like to watch attractive people on screen and that's what sell :-)

So true. Call me superficial but I don't think I'll watch a romcom/idol drama if I don't find the leads attractive. They can play average joes but can't really be average looking lol
