What an amazing kdrama

I'm coming here after I just finished watching the final episode. Usually I'm not really a person who gives a lot of reviews but I just couldnt pass on this one, after how much I liked it.

First, I saw a few people who said that Tale of The Nine Tailed didnt deserve a season 2 and that other kdramas deserved it way more. Which I can understand (even if I dont agree with them), because for some people, the first season didnt have a big impact on them. Maybe, after looking back and after I watched the 2nd season, season 1 also paled a bit for me. But please believe me when I say that the 2nd season is better. I also liked the first one, no doubt, but the 2nd season was just the cherry on top for me. Just give it a chance and you will not regret it.

Second, you will see a lot of character development and bromance here. I loved every second of Lee Yeon's and Lee Rang's relationship. I loved Lee Yeon's relationship with the other mountain gods, Hong Joo and Moo Yeong.
The character development for each of the characters is so great to see, especially when you know that they went through a lot. If I go through each of them, my review will be so much longer and it may be boring for some people ahaha But just look forward to it and you will not be disappointed. My heart also ached for Moo Yeong but in the end, he had his place.
What I wished the most though, was for Lee Rang to have his happy ending in this season, since in the first one he was surrounded by pain. I wished the writers would have mercy on him (and us, the viewers) and wouldnt torture him anymore. And my wish finally came true. I'm not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but I was really happy and my heart swelled with happiness after seeing how Rang ended up in this season.

Third, the music was so on point. I loved the OSTs and the other bg music was really fitting for every scene it happened to be there. To be honest, I was listening to Kihyun's OST a few days in a row since it came out and I'll probably go and listen to it again once I'm done with this review ahaha

All in all, the season 2 was a great one and I loved it every second of it. I was impatienly waiting for every episoade and I'm still frustrated that it had only 12 eps and it wasnt a full length kdrama but it is what it is. I'm quite sad that it's the end, but it brought me great joy and happiness, especially since I'm a sucker for amazing bromance and this drama just kept feeding me this. I'll miss the nine tailed fox brothers and their bond and I really hope we will get a season 3 bcs there was still a thing which wasnt addressed, and that's why I took 0.50 points from the story. But I hope everyone will give this kdrama a chance because it's so good. I hope you will enjoy it just as much as I did.

Now, I will explain why I took 0.50 points from the story BUT THIS IS A SPOILER SO PLEASE DONT READ IT IF YOU DONT LIKE SPOILERS, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT'S ABOUT THE END!!!

I took 0.50 points from the story part (I was indecisive if to take 1 point or just 0.50 points) because I was curious about The First/Original Mountain God. They showed him in the last episode, at the end, when Lee Yeon and Shin Joo were about to go home, in their era. I would have liked to know why he just stood there. Bcs even Taluipa said that The Original Mountain God is too quiet and that he is planning something. And he saw when Lee Yeon and Shin Joo got there but didnt do anything to stop them to get back home, even if he needed the stone. It didnt sit right with me and it made me very confused. I would've liked to know more about him. But maybe we will have a season 3 and we will know more about it in the next season. At least I hope so bcs it would be a shame to not be like this, especially since I loved season 2 so much and this is the only minus thing that it has.

One of the best romance cdramas I've watched it. The story isn't something special among other dramas of its kind but I loved it from the start and until the end, it's very sweet. I'm not really a fan of e-games dramas but this one left a good impression on me. The game parts were enjoyable and I've found myself being captivated, especially since I'm not really into this kind of shows.

The acting was good, of course with little exceptions maybe, but so much better than others I've seen before. The playfulness Xu Kai showed it through Lu Si Cheng was really natural and he truly won me as a fan with it. Cheng Xiao, she also had a good acting and expressed herself well, especially in some scenes. There can still be room of improvement but I applaud them both and I'll be looking forward to the both of them and their future works.

About the chemistry between the Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao, I can just say that it was amazing and it wasn't awkward. They each did a goob job in showing an expressing their characters' adoration and the other feelings for each other in the series. It showed that they were comfortable and their many sweet moments had me melting. I honestly believe that they were the perfect cast for this series because they pulled off so nicely and they had you immersed in their moments. The sweetness is just over the top and I wish I could see more series and chemistry like theirs. If there would be another chance to see them acting together again, I would for sure watch it. You just can't get enough.

What I've appreciated more in this series was the fact that there weren't many annoying side characters, instead, it was quite peaceful and this made it even more enjoyable and I could appreciate even more the sweet moments among Lu Si Cheng and Tong Yao.

In conclusion, I would totally rewatch this drama because it is what I've looked up for so long. Very sweet, cute and I loved it. I feel like the ending could be better for such a good drama. Left me a bit hanging and I expected more from its' ending but beside that, the cdrama is on point and I would recommend people to watch it if they want something sweet and to melt a lot while watching it.

One of the best kdramas of 2021

Honestly, I didn't start this kdrama with big expectations and I just gave it a chance only because Han Hyo Joo and Park Hyung Sik are starring in it. I didn't plan to keep watching it. I would've just given a chance at the beginning and that would be because from the description of the drama, it wasn't something I would usually watch. But oh, how wrong I was. Something that I started with little hope, it was actually one of the best dramas of 2021, and maybe not only.

The plot maybe it won't be on everyone's liking and some people won't give it a chance but once you start it, you will love it.
Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo did an amazing job in portraiting their characters, and not only them. Each one of the actors did a great job giving life to their characters. I went through so many emotions and feeling while watching it. I was angry, I was sad, I was happy. I could see myself being immersed in each episode. I would want more and more after I finished an episode and I would need to wait for the next ones arriving the next week.

The chemistry between Sae Boom and Yi Hyun was over the top. You could see and feel that they care a lot for each other through their gestures and actions, without them needing much to show it. All the moments they had, all the soft intimacy and realizations, they got you through all of them. There are so many moments that I loved between them and indivually as well. They chose the right actors to portrairt the characters. Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo were truly an amazing pair for this series. They just fit in the drama, they fit their characters and portraited all their emotions so well and I really hope that if it will be another chance in the future, I would love to see them acting together again.

The music was also on point. It is so important to have good music in a series because it helps contributing to the emotions the people are watching feel. I found myself searching so many times for the OSTs from Happiness and listening to them and having the images of the drama running in my head. You can also feel the emotions in the singers' voice.

In the end, I'm not really ready to say "Goodbye" to Happiness but I'm also happy. I didn't expect to love this series this much and to be one of my favorite series ever but here I am. I loved every episode until the end. I would impatiently look forward to the next ones each time, until now, when Happiness ended. I really hope more people will give it a chance, because it's one of the best kdramas. I hope you all will be able to feel the same emotions and feelings through this series as I did.
