29 episodes?? be serious 😭 this drama needed more episodes to breathe. not just because i’m enjoying it (which, yes, I am), but because why does every major plot point feel like it’s being speedrun??

they keep dumping information like we’re supposed to just keep up and feel things instantly. where is the buildup?? imagine how much harder everything would hit if they actually let the story unfold instead of cramming it all in.

Tbh as much as I hate Yan Ke, he's the only one keeping the somewhat angst going because why does Duan Xu feel like he got downgraded mid-story? This is the same guy who used to be cunning, vicious, and playing 4D chess with Si Mu… and now he’s just… a lovesick puppy? Be serious. Where did all that edge go?

The tension between them didn’t just fade, it straight up vanished the moment they exchanged senses. Like, that electric, push-and-pull dynamic? Gone. Replaced with soft longing and zero bite. I didn’t sign up for Duan Xu to be domesticated. I wanted chaos, mind games, and a little emotional damage, thanks.

I know this has already been said a hundred times on this page, so sure, add this to the pile but casting an underage girl opposite a full-grown adult is still wildly inappropriate. And let’s be real, it didn’t just raise moral red flags it clearly watered down the storyline. You can feel how much they will tiptoe around the romance to make it “acceptable,” which will just ends up making everything awkward and half-baked.

What’s actually ridiculous is that this is an industry where 30-year-olds are out here playing high school students every other day… and yet somehow they couldn’t find a single of-age actress for this role? That’s not a limitation, that’s a choice and a pretty questionable one at that.

I would suggest you to go down a little bit in comments, I'm sure you'll see the term "screentime" mentions after every few comments. The debate about her character depth might be also there but that doesn't deny the fact that there are quite a lot of people demanding screentime increase which is absolutely not needed.

Demanding more screen time for your fav only makes sense if the story is being wasted on filler but it’s not. Screen time here is clearly tied to narrative function: plot progression, pacing, and character arcs. Shifting it just for bias would weaken the narrative, not improve it.

So what matters more: good storytelling or just seeing your favorite on screen?

Okay but I was lowkey waiting for LWY to somehow witness WSG and WWY’s little domestic family setup 😭 Like imagine her reaction seeing her sister in such a soft, almost mundane family environment?? And not just with anyone, but with WSG of all people??

Can all these time travel or transmigration cdrama stop ending the same way? And even if they do end, can they atleast bother to explain how in every single one of such shows the ml is able to come to her current time. Always the same ending damn ending.

They’re basically hyping her up to join a war like that’s normal, ignoring how actual soldiers are recruited and trained. What is actually wrong with everyone in this drama?? Like yes, her father was a big shot and sure, she can fight but let’s be real for a second. She’s spent most of her life as a commoner. Suddenly everyone’s acting like she’s some legendary warrior they can blindly rely on??

And today’s battle?? Why was she literally on the front lines like that?? Since when did she become their strongest asset?? It honestly feels like everyone’s glazing her way too hard and putting an insane amount of faith in someone who, realistically, shouldn’t be carrying that kind of responsibility yet.

No family, godfather dead, tragic backstory...we get it. But ML is literally the ONLY person in her corner and she’s playing him like this? Her EQ is in negative.

Exactly. No one’s asking you to romanticize the relationship. Just acknowledge it’s toxic and move on, no need to act like the scenes shouldn’t exist or like the actors didn’t put in the work.

Honestly, in the beginning I would’ve loved that outcome too. I’m a sucker for a good dark-romance dynamic, so the idea of him redeeming himself did cross my mind at first. But the moment he chose to traumatize his own son… that’s where he became a lost cause for me. At that point it stopped feeling like a dark romance setup and just became plain darkness.

ngl no matter how villainous Qi Min is, I always find myself looking forward to his scenes with Yu Qian Qian. Their relationship is undeniably toxic and abusive, but the unpredictability of their interactions makes those moments impossible to skip. You never know if the next line will be manipulation, anger, or something strangely vulnerable.

Why didn’t the ML just station a few armed men around the village after reclaiming his position? He literally saw powerful people showing up there. If his presence could be traced, obviously more enemies might come. A little foresight could’ve saved a lot of bloodshed and atleast had protected the FL and her sister.

Also… the FL had been searching for her sister for a while and rescuing kidnapped kids along the way, yet the ML only just finds out about the kidnapping? Is he keeping track of his own family or not? 🤨
