I wish that mortal arc could have been longer but with only few episodes left, it's not possible

Wu Zi Shu is literally required for the plot, so of course he’s going to get screentime. None of his scenes are filler. If anything feels dragged out, it’s the second couple going in circles with no real progression (apart from these last few episodes)

especially that scene where his hands are dripping with blood and he smears it on her cheek, like sir, that’s food wastage 😂

I get what you mean, but let’s be real, they’re not doing charity work. The whole team is getting paid for their job, just like anyone else. Effort doesn’t make a project immune to criticism.

That’s literally the point, he’s slipping. He keeps talking about duty, but the jealousy just shows the feelings he can’t keep in check. That messy contradiction is his character

She tried to use Ting Yan to open the gate but it clearly didn't worked. Also since childhood she is told that killing ML will save her clan, so it clearly sounds more reliable to her (though she should fact check that)

yet the aesthetics are so different, how I wish that this had production as good as moonlit reunion.

Okay, I get Ruling choosing her people over her new friends, that’s noble and all… but girl, can we at least fact-check before planning murder? Like, how accurate is this ‘kill the ML = freedom for my people’ formula? Because right now she’s siding with the same shady villains who put her people in chains in the first place.

His sister is missing in the woods, he finds out his crush knew and kept quiet, and all he asks for is a half-hearted “sorry.” No anger, no accountability, no recognition of how twisted that is, just a quick apology and back to puppy-dog eyes. He didn’t just miss the red flags, he folded them into a heart shape.

we’re supposed to believe this FL is a legendary general out for revenge, but all she’s done so far is act childish, get drunk, and goof around . And people say 'it’s all part of the plan' okay, sure. Meanwhile, we’re also expected to turn off our brains and accept that no one notices she’s obviously a woman? So we need big brain energy to justify her behavior, but no logic at all when it comes to basic disguise? Make it make sense.
Writers and makeup team, she’s not undercover, she’s just painfully underwritten
