The crap they are serving, it's called toxic feminism which they are showing in latest episode 10 , the old hag…
For real! You can have empowering female characters without degrading the male ones. There's absolutely no need for that. That's one of my main problems with this show but it is unfortunately expected from this writer. I just hope they would have changed their problematic ideas by now.
Eps 12 & 13 thoughts: I really hope we see more of the couples and less of all the Tae San related evil people including Tae Min! Tae Ho was so cute on his outing with Hyo Shim. She finally got to eat chicken drumsticks and plenty at that.🥺 Good eating buddies indeed! Why was Tae Hee behaving like a 5 year old this week? Like I get she is supposed to have a "cute personality" but the way she whined was really childish. And why isn't she telling Tae Min or Tae Ho anything about what her mother did??? Like this could easily save 4 episodes right there! Hyo Do is still going after creating his own business but I think he should first find a stable job and then pursue his dreams WITH HIS MONEY! Hyo Jun's angry "what?" to Mi Rim when she was staring at him haha, her judgments are slowly having impact on him. He was quite frustrating this week (Seol Jung Hwan plays annoying so well 😄 like he fully knows his character is awful and goes full out with his expressions) but I love his bickering with Mi Rim so much! I hope we see his character development soon. I'm so curious to see how things will go with him at the police station.
Sadly, this has become boring to me. I fast forward/skip all the side plots except from the dad and Nam In. I'm only watching and rooting for the leads while enjoying their very little (BUT ADORABLE) romantic scenes.
If you like more serious type old era dramas, I recommend you to watch The Crowned Clown. It's really good! I've…
oh okay then. Yeah I understand what you mean. I like it so far, it's fun but I'm not that hooked either. Waiting till it's over might be the best idea. I wanted to wait for a few episodes to come out before I start this but I'm just really intrigued to see the side characters and their love lines, especially the three sisters. I hope we see more of them in the future episodes. A LOT of dramas are coming out this month, I don't know how I'll manage my watching schedule haha.
I love Jo Yi hyun for life but I am seriously struggling to finish episode 2 and I don’t know why?!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜…
If you like more serious type old era dramas, I recommend you to watch The Crowned Clown. It's really good! I've also heard good things about Mr Sunshine but beware, it's really heartbreaking.
I went in with low expectations after reading the comments here and I like it more than I thought I would. I love the matchmaking theme and Soon Deok. Rowoon's comedic timing is really good, he's very funny in this. I can already see the main leads messing up the destined couples somehow hahah.
We're finally getting romance! Drunk Tae Ho is funny hahah. That scene in the taxi was actually cute and just thinking about how he has no one to lean on (metaphorically and literally) makes it all the more bittersweet. My ship, Hyo Joon & Mi Rim is slowly leaving the dock. We have a long way to go though. Hyo Joon realizes that words have meaning and may hurt someone deeply. I love how Mi Rim is always saying the right words! He's going to be influenced by her words at some point and I can't wait to see it. The ep 12 preview!! Man, how much more will Tae Ho suffer from his family? I wish he could just leave them all. The news lady is so obsessive, I don't like her. Same goes for Tae Min. The worst kind of second leads are the ones that refuse to hear how the fl truly feels and they just keep pursuing her while getting mad at her for being with the ml. Hyo Shim clearly told him that he makes her uncomfortable but he doesn't care. Yikes!
This drama was losing me with its problematic themes last week (sadly they haven't gone away) but I'm still here for the leads! <3 Also, ep 7 was more enjoyable. Pfft that party, this family is all over the place. I died with Bong Go and Nam In texting (a.k.a. badmouthing Geum Joo) at the table hahaha Speaking of Bong Go, he IS the better parent here because he truly cares and checks on both of his children. Geum Joo's neglect of Nam In is actually really sad to watch. I hope they address it seriously at one point and she apologize to him. Even with Nam Soon, I feel like she sees her more as her daughter who carries out her genetic super strength and less as a person. I get that she feels like it's their duty to save those in need but she's SO obsessed with it that she looses the bigger picture. Anyways, I probably mustn't think too much when I'm watching this drama but Geum Joo really frustrates me. The second lead gives me the creeps and I hate him. I already know he's going to try to harm my ship! Protect Nam Soon and Hee Shik AT ALL COSTS!!
Am I the only one more excited about the side couples than the main couple?
I also thought I was the only one! Their characters and their stories sound so interesting and cute, especially after reading the character descriptions (putting the link here if you want to read: https://program.kbs.co.kr/2tv/drama/thematchmakers/pc/detail.html?smenu=e126f2 it's in korean, you can just copy & paste on google translate or papago). It's a pity that they're only promoting the main couple so far (for obvious reasons I guess). We're going to have to wait until Monday to see the side characters.
Ep 8: I didn't expect Tae Min's villain arc to start this soon but here we go. Pfft he's so in his own world, I got second hand embarrassment during his outing with Hyo Shim. Mi Rim can see right through Hyo Joon so easily. I was also wondering if Hyo Joon truly wants to become a lawyer or he's just doing it for the prestige that comes with it. It looks like it's the latter. Seeing him sitting in that room contemplating his life choices made me feel bad for him. It must be exhausting trying the same thing over and over again only to fail at succeeding it one more time. Anyways, I need more of theem! I love how you can see why the characters act the way they do. This drama makes me realize how truly badly written some other family dramas were *cough*Apple of my eye*cough.
This is better written than the whole of TRHC and that drama somehow even achieved 20%+. Hopefully this drama…
I think more people were interested in TRHC because of the fake marriage & single parent trope hence there was more buzz around it. It was also advertised as a rom com and that genre attracts more viewers than a more melodramatic one. I hope this one gets more love too, it deserves it. I love the writing of the characters so far, you can really feel that they are written by a veteran writer.
Tae min is getting shadier and shadier as the episodes go. I feel bad for Tae Ho : ( He has no one to talk to. I guess he's similar with Hyo Shim in that regard. I hope we see more interactions of them. I don't like that we're ending with what would be Saturday's episode. We were getting some background story but it's been cut in half now. Ep 8 looks good! I'm predicting divorce for Hyo Seong and his wife. Maybe not permanent but there needs to be something big to make her realize her ways and I can't think of anything else lol. Mi Rim is probably going to help Hyo Jun with his exams. I'm pissed that we didn't get an interaction between them this week. We better get more of them in the next eps!
Ep 6 thoughts: The episode felt kinda slow to me but maybe it feels this way because of the many cancellations. Uee at her expertise again which is making us all cryyy. Hyo Shim is slowly reaching her breaking point. She's such a good person, it hurts to see her like this, her happiness is all that matters to me rn, I don't really care for the love triangle. I feel like I'm going to like Tae Ho more when the "enemies" part of the trope is over. I think I read somewhere before the drama started airing that he's going to help her break free from her family so that will be sweet. I really hope they don't make Tae Min really evil later. I'm counting on the news reporter lady to help him forget about Hyo Shim. I love that Tae Ho's grandma is Hyo Shim's supporter now! There's finally someone on her side!
The family reunion was sweet! The villain creeps me out a lot, it seems like he will develop an obsession with Nam Soon. Even if he wasn't evil, there is no second lead syndrome here for me ofc when there's a sweet and kind guy like Hee Shik as the ml. Seriously, I haven't been this excited about a couple in a mini drama for quite a while! They are just so cute!!
Aww so Nam Soon and Hee Sik are going to be working partners now. I really love how their relationship progresses. They're both very kind and their interactions are so sweet. <3

As someone who likes Byeon Woo Seok, I have no problem hating his character lol he is a psychopath.
