ok I love my Dog... but this boy just dealt with the death of his grandfather and y'all thought we wanted his…
I think there was already some time gone since his grandpa passed. I thought, there was again a time jump. And the dog was the last reminder of grandpa, that is why it played such an important role for him...
Gotta say this series just sufferers from too many characters...and not enough time to build them all up properly....especially…
I agree with you. Champ's character and story is strange to me. I don't know what to do with that. Now, Nan's story gets a lot of screen time, though I do not know why, because there is not much to develop. GunGolf are now and then. I get that a lot of Hardcore-BL-fans are disappointed. Champ/ Nan and Chompu are hardly BL. Name and Em only make slow progress, while GunGolf nearly disappeared now. I think, another problem are those time jumps. Both, too many characters/plots and time jump make this series hard to watch.
Munyeong: I like you, Seonho!" Seaonho: Actually, I like you too!" M: Oh, really? ... I have a boyfriend. S: Oh... M: Yes, and that is why I quit with you. We will not meet again. Bye! M leaves, in thoughts about Seonho - his one and only crush...
Maybe... I am not Korean enough to understand this plot?
When I saw this the first time advertised, I rolled my eyes. Not school boys again, I thought. The only reason I gave this a try was: Friday evening, for free on Youtube.
Must say, GMM managed to fill a bit of new energy into those school-boy topic. I really enjoy this. It has a good mixture of seriousness and comical scenes. And the chemistry is...wow...
Only explanation I can come up with for Munyeon's behaviour: He is convinced that Seonho has a gf (PD). He doesn't want to be the a...hole who destroys their relationship. Yeah. Does not really make sense to me. S. never talked about a gf - I mean they both work together, quite close. And I think S even said he is single (not sure, though).
Anyhow, as many commenters before. This ruined it. And it's not misunderstanding or miscommunication. M. is plainly lying. Without any logical reason. For me, his character failed. Even if the writer came up with a nice explanation, he is out. Seonho deserves someone who is not a plain liar.
I need to go to church later and confess because I am evil 'LOL' When Nuknan went to the farm, I was like: Leave Chompu and take the brother, pleeeeeeaaase!
Ok, so maybe KinnPorsche, Love in the Air, hell even Check Out has spoiled me because I am trying to see the BL…
For me, this isn't really "BL", too. As I have commented below already: The title Remember me gives me extremely negative vibes. It looks like this series is running up to the present and there might be some stories which end in a sad way.
I actually think, the producers did not want to make BL, but the focus lies on the "character" development during the past 20 years, though I do not really get the development. They jump in time but a lot of issues do not disappear.
Watching this is very hard, due to the subtitles. I know, this isn't the fault of the movie company (at least, not primary). Maybe some of the fans who sub this are also reading here. But, only because I read English, does not mean that I can read 3-4-5 lines of text in a microsecond. The original Thai posts, for instance, scroll up and a native speaker will have enough time to read them. They often pop in/out so quickly that I cannot even press stop to read them in full.
The translations do not scroll, they just pop in and out. And, to make it worse, above all are the subs for the spoken language popping in and out. Sometimes you just do not even know where to put your eyes. The result is that I have to fix my eyes below and hardly get what is actually going on in the series.
I am a translator myself but not working on subtitles. I am a literary translator; still, I can assess that this is not really done in a convenient way. I hope in the future there will better solutions.
Sorry, this is a bit off-topic but I hope some fans who do subtitling//translating might be inspired...
Yes, I also enjoy it. I feel a bit sad because I think this is unfairly judged by all the BL fans.
I googled a bit. This series was not advertised as BL, but only as a BL side-story. Only on websites/ forums of the usual suspects this is said to be BL. I mean, I also do not sit in a Western and later complain that there weren't aliens, nor space ship battles...
For not being main-BL, in my opinion, there is enough BL stuff in it. And I usually watch BL. I can survice series where women and girls appear and are not 100% evil. I would, actually, prefer a normal setting environment. Schools in which 100% of the boys crave sausages...well, that is quite convincing. I think it is well done here. The main couple is hetero, but the side couples actually get good screen time.
The rating is 7.6. That is actually pretty good too. This series deserves an 8.x, though.
Actually, I found Fluke to be good in his minor appearances in ep 2. I was disappointed when I watched the trailer…
I have only watched the ep 1 now. I find this pretty standard, viewed from Thai BL vantage point. I mean, I did not want to say: do not watch. FlukeOHm fans will watch this anyway. It is okay, watching ep 1 I was not bored.
Looks a bit back to the roots, though: 100% straight realizes he is not craving fruity melons anymore but hot, juice sausage... Reminds me of the early days of Yaoi.
i really used to think that Fluke was good... like... his performance in UWMA *was* good but he keeps playing…
I had the same thought. But Fluke should know better. I mean, he is not a beginner in BL. Please note: I said, I do not see that he makes progress in acting. I did not say, he is BAD at acting. He is still cute and I can watch him, but there are not many emotions he conveys. Mostly standing and smling or crying.
And yes, Fluke seems to choose weird movies. I mean, what was that Red Wine thing?
And my 2nd unpopular opinion: I am not really convinced about his ship with Ohm. I already did not see any chemistry in UWMA. And this Oh my Sunshine...well, that was really a disaster.
I have watched now ep 1. It looks like they both have again a series with some mysterious secret; dreaming or prescience stuff.
[Chimp and Flake, heavily doing it in the bed. Phone rings, Chimp takes it...] "Hey, Mom. What's on?" "Hi, Son. Oh, are you banging your bf there? Greet Flake. By the way, I am sorry, but your Dad has just passed away, after a long painful time in the hospital. We have not told you about, so you won't be troubles. Uhm, ah, mhm....Well, don't worry, you can attend the funeral after cumming. I will take care of it. Have a fun time, son. Bye!"
Watched the first 10 minutes and then decided to put this on hold. Everything looked too much like "BL series for Dummies". Standard characters, standard settings, standard plots. Thai BL has the problem that they have just one type of character: the super-successful, hyper-handsome, hyper-rich guy, probably once the Moon of his faculty, likes to play, likes to drink. Eats about 25 times a day, prefarbly porridge, if not then BBQ or hotpot. And don't tell me that Mum sstudied Engineering...
I am also not really a fan any more of FLuke. I liked him in the past, but - honestly - his acting did not make any progresses. I haven't seen him here, so I might give the first episode a chance. But to sum it up again: this series looks pretty standard to me.

Not to mention the music...

Is it popular or slang for a mobile? They have used this many times, but I do not get what BB actually means.
