Who is Dr. Boom? A FB group posted a photo and some details. I am confused, because I have not seen anyone with this name. Will he appear in a later episode?
do you know why his voice is being dubbed ? I am so confused ...
Thai is a tonal language. I do not speak it, but Vietnamese. I had the pleasure to observe a Chinese living in my neighbourhood. He tried to speak Vietnamese, but had to give up. The Vietnamese would not understand him. The tones are too different. I guess, here it is the same.
This series is kind of refreshing, no big drama here, whoever did the casting did a great job. Mek is nice , but…
I was relieved when I saw that Frong and Tara will be a couple. They match even better than Frong and Duen. Although, currently the story is going too smooth, isn't it? I am afraid some unknown problems await those future-to-be couples. (I wanted to buy the novels, but they are sold out, so I do not know what actually happens).
I just decided to visit Bangkok after the Corona crisis - unless the world has not crashed and we find ourselves…
Sorry to warm this up and reply to my own, but maybe some others are interested in the books, too. Actually, you can see the hardcover novels in episode 5, while Bohn is looking for the pychology books. The saleswoman puts them on the shelf, haha. Quite thick. I found them on Kinokuniya Thailand and Lazada, but all were sold out :(
I like all couples except Ram & King. It looks like someone put foot in Ram's mouth, if you know what I mean.…
You get a like for your honesty. I do not agree in all things, but King and Ram are, indeed, also not my favourites. However, I still can totally relate to Ram, because I was the same when I studied (long time ago, during medieval ages). In Germany, we had 13 years school until graduation. And even my "best" friend at school was not able to write a short essay about me for the year book, haha. Unfortunately, I had no "King" coming to me...
I am totally confused. I watched a kind of movie with the title Love love you, where Gun played the main role. Is that related to this? This looks totally different. What about all that fantasy stuff, magical rings and different dimension?????
So I am thinking Duen's father is not very supportive of homosexual relationships. He has mentioned girlfriend…
Well, we do not know, but he seems to be quite strict. Is he police or army, actually? I could imagine he is quite conservative. But we do not know so far.
Has anyone some info about Phu? He is Duen's and Ram's friend, also a freshy engineer and appears now and then. I tried to find out his (the actor's) name, but he is not even listed above....
So I just found out today that this series is like a Sitcom, which makes so much sense (LazySubber mentioned it).…
Thank you for this info. That explains some of my problems. I already mentioned that I think there is a bit of loss in translation. I thought that might be puns and other word games which are hard to translate.
There is not really a novel. The series is a mixture of several novels, I thought it were two, but WeTV was talking about three yesterday in an IG post.
Everyone is talking about watching this through the official site, but they don’t seem to have English subs…
They have also an app, where you can watch all their stuff, not only My engineer, but other series, too. The app is not available for all countries, though.
I just decided to visit Bangkok after the Corona crisis - unless the world has not crashed and we find ourselves all in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max world. I live 40 minutes from BKK and I wonder if the novels, those series are based on, are available as a book (traditional, paper thing, not ebook). Is there a good bookstore in BKK to find BL stuff?
Duen's just being a cute tsundere lol. They definitely show that he likes him (like smiling when Bohn called,…
Thank you, too, for your reply. I interpreted Duen's rudeness as the opposite, that he wanted to create a wall to Bohn. I think you made a good point with mentioning the lack of honorifics. I assume that there is also a huge information loss due to the translation - I do not want to say it is wrong, but the use or non-use of honorifics is hard to express in English, I think.
I agree with you that Duen seems to be happy. Not sure, if they already are a couple, though? I think there is still a bit to go. But the series has not yet aired half, so I am positive that they find their happiness :)
About Duen being annoyed to Bohn every now and then, it's just normal because this couple has this typical love-hate…
This hate-love-thing is dominant in most BL series. Maybe I just overrated it here. I rewatched the episode (6) and, yes, I think Duen is quite happy with that situation.
Just watched episode 6 and am a bit disappointed about the back and forth in the story. It is annoying, that in every new episode they start with fighting, to end with harmony, only to start fighting/being annoyed in the next one. I mean, we remember: Bohn asked Duen in ep. 5 if it is ok to go after him. And Duen said yes (I interprete the smile as a yes). And now, he is annoyed again? And what about Fong? He is not "polite, kind, gentle and warm" here in this episode as he was described before... Still, Duen is my favourite and his smile is still divine.
I only want to mention: The music is wonderful and totally fits to all scenes. The guy doing the sound here has done a wonderful job.
