I totally agree. No regrets. Exactly what DD says all the time in real life. "I like it, I want it, I will do this, I will give my best to succeed and if I fail at least I tried. I have no regrets."

I also need a rewatch. I remember the monk said smth like it's not necesarily the future but is playing tricks on him. I'm not so sure but I remember it gave me a feeling of an illusion, misleading, playing tricks. I need to confirm this.

Let's hope he'll make the most of it in this life/dream/game/whatever.

I've never seen a drama that makes all the connections so easily, without wasting time, still keeping me on the edge or emotional. It is so impressive for me.

There is a very complex plot which provides drama (keeping you on the edge, making you cry and keeping you glued to the screen), the family, friendship and awkward situations are portrayed in a fun note that most of the times becomes hilarious and is used in a big amount because the drama was tagged as a comedy.
The different couples provide a nice treat of romance, especially because romance is not a main thing. Action is present because the drama is called Guardians of the Dafeng, and we find out in the beginning that guardians are the fighters, keepers of order.
You have very different characters and relationship types that it's impossible not to relate to at least 1 of them. The music is chosen to combine a classic with the much modern taste (XQA is coming from the modern world, after all) and all of them are set in the fairyland or wuxia or however it is called.
Being at ep. 29 and not understanding the script ("I don't know what is this drama about"), which provides all of the above, including many many different feelings and emotions, the reasons and the motives, but still watching it just surprised me. Those loose ends that you are talking about are clues that will come together in the end. As for your question about the decent end, I wonder what would you consider as being a "decent end" when it seems you "don't know what is this drama about".

lol. or you can see it in a positive light. We know that Dafeng needs a hero to save it. We figured out it must be XQA. Maybe the Supervisor is just taking care of him from afar. He can't get involved directly because is XQA destiny, but he is there to watch over him (last ep. XQA said : I feel that he is watching) and help him only in need.

It's about money. The fact that DD is versatile and very talented makes him suitable for all kind of different roles. The fact that he is a joyful and a funny person, spreading laughter and positivity makes people at work feel relaxed and natural. And the fact that he is extremely hard working, down to earth and professional makes the crew feel at ease because they can get the result they were looking for.

All this attracts very good producers and directors, a lot of investments (GOTD had more then 10 investors or smth like that, and this is smth huge) which automatically means good scripts and good actors involved. When you get such an ensemble, that drama/movie is bound to be a success most of the times.

The problem is that DD is not part of those notorious companies so they can't milk him. Their stars are loosing good projects and scripts because of him which means they are losing money. They can't get DD to work for them but they don't want him to succeed either so their solution is to bring him down. Because DD doesn't apologize for his success they not only want to bring him down, but they want to annihilate him and shame him as well. It's a mafia.

Now, the thing is that no matter how much they tried over the years they just can't bring him down. And this is because : 1. His mindset is very strong, 2. Most of his fans are people at a more mature age so they are not easily fooled by the lies that fly around and they keep dedicated and give him support, 3. The open minded people from the Cent will choose him easily anytime because he meets all the criteria.

And the saddest thing is there are for sure many other actors and actresses like him, talented and hardworking people, loving the craft and wanting to do good but they just can't break out because of this mafia. And if people like DD come from a humble background as well, then their rage triples. How come a no good peasant, with no money to sustain his place is taking my face ? my contracts ! my money !

Supporters watching on hi tech magic ball, Princess Li'an taking care her man is dressed properly and doesn't lose momentum, XQA being THE man, lol. I just can't wait. Less then an hour now. To clean the Earth Sect of evil. As we have different sects and academies for good, so we have some for evil. Evil right now is Earth Sect, wizards, Emperor, enemies in the North.

You don't remember the Realm Sect ? Then I have bad news : you must watch this all over again if you want to understand anything. The Realm Sect is most basic knowledge but connects dots. It's too much to explain the last 20 episodes.

oh ! the numbers ?? Noo. Those are people that were brought together to form the Realm Sect and he is a part of it. He is no.3 (they don't use names there). No. 2 is that woman dressed in red, No. 4 is that guy in white with that sword in that big case, etc. And that is not a mirror. It's an artefact for communication but we joke and say it's a phone (it has same functions).

Oh ! And I watch Cdramas only because of DD and only with DD in them. I could never afford to give much more time than this to anything or anyone else. The fact that for me he is an outstanding talent, a natural born talent and the fact that he likes to challenge himself by always taking different roles makes me follow all his work, no matter if it's comedy or drama, modern or costume. And I really really like all the genres. I prefer more Japanese and Korean dramas.

What do you mean by 1,2,3 ? Their ranks ? The smaller the no of the rank the higher their power in their specialized magic/traits/abilities, etc. Ex. 1st rank is highest. 3rd rank higher than 7th but lower than 1st. In Indian religion Dharma has to do with right behavior and social order. In Buddhism is the teaching of Buddhism taught by Buddha. In any case, that big guy yellow in the sky looks like a God and those 2 that came look like monks. So, they must part of a belief. I won't go as far as to say a religion. The way we have sorcerers with Astronomical Bureau or fighters with The Guardians or scholars with Yunlu Academy, wizards with probably black magic and so on, so we have these people from Tianyu with their belief, their yellow power and that God-like presence in the sky.

Ok. This just came up recently. We know that Dafeng has some enemies. In the earlier episodes they were talking about the Kui at those mines with gunpowder as enemies. But suddenly this man appears saying things about robbing and killing and the blood of 3000. Unfortunately he didn't survive to say what he meant. Nobody knows what happens or what does that mean exactly and something feels fishy for Lord Wei. That's why he asks for an investigation.

We, as fans, worry the most, but DD can handle them easily. It's the protective instinct , what can we do ?

Not even one single leak. It's like a fortress there. But I understand that in China, the movie industry is completely at a different level than making dramas. You never find a person "getting lost" around the set.
