The perfect BL does exist

I have never been so instantly hooked by a series. It is actual perfection.

+ easy to follow story that just flows so well
+fantastic acting
+authentic LGBTQ+ story
+great support cast
+the warm and fuzzy feels
++ BONUS AMAZING MANGA TO ACCOMPANY

So heartwarming to watch the story grow between the characters and you truly feel the connections. It leaves you feeling complete and curious with every story and arc they throw at you and it just felt so so authentic.

If i could only ever watch one BL again this would be it.

Sneaky good

Not the greatest production value, in depth main characters, cute as Fuq, and a fairly realistic plot that didn't suffer from the "ok we get it their opposites " being dragged out which was nice

+ well developed emotions + no uneeded plot points + natural flowing
- Audio issues - character background - annoying secondary characters

Kyo (Judah) and Royce (Rocky) paired so well. Their together scenes felt natural and truly caring and cute. They delivered 10/10 emotions and made me really care for them. Royce continues to deliver in other rolls he's since played.

You genuinely felt them really developing and really delivering on truly positive and real world LGBTQ+ Issues that felt authentic.

I wouldn't hate a sequel to this at all and it was very non toxic tropes which is why it's so rewatchable. Really delivered as a BL and contributed to pinoy BL's understanding you don't need massive budgets to deliver fantastic results.

A problematic masterpiece

Oh boy i mean where to start lol.

The actors who are now complete and rightfully earned legends took this series and ran with it. They had a spark from the first episode and you had no choice but to want more.

But my God they played into every negative BL trope you could imagine.

+ Actors are incredible every last one + story was so well thought out
- Whyyyyy so rapey whyyyy - rape wasn't enough? Try some gang rape!
+ secondary stories were on point + great twists + no bad episodes
- toxic manipulation - non consensual/unwanted sexy times

There was so many diverse dynamics in the secondary storytelling that you couldn't help but fall in love with so many of the characters. They really told their stories so well.

This story has everything going for it and i really couldn't wait to start the next episode every time. I just wish they'd got away from the physical abuse as a storytelling crutch to create some intense emotions. The caliber of the actors could have seen too that.

Please if you don't have easy triggers watch this series!

Anyone else thirsty?

Well thought out characters, small cast not focused on unecessary sub plots, steamy, and girl i mean fog the glasses up steamy.

+ sexy + in depth story + no hinted at LGBTQ+ very in your face
- pointless eluded back story - borderline creepy grooming

Girl they done went in on the sexy times. Not only for a BL but a Japanese BL was not expected but very well done.

This was very well acted Takezai (Kijima) and Izuka (Kuzumi) really played well of each other and had clearly researched their roles. Although it did take me a few episodes to warm up to kijimi.

I couldn't help but feel the hinted at past risqué relationship felt more like a " we should do a sequel/ prequel " gimmick and not as much something that really was well thought about storyline arc.

It really unraveled and blossomed as a great story and never felt rushed. But in the same sense i don't feel the need for more.

If Casper liked boys

Fantastic plot, not rushed in the slightest, 3Dimensional characters all around, focused and fantastically acted.

+ Singto crushes his roll + fantastic support cast + non toxic BL tropes!
- plot twists lacked - slightly predictable - the 'girlfriend' was not needed

It was incredibly written with each character having specific goals and stories, they were supportive and relevant to the plot from start to finish.

The major twists just kind of happened there was not much seed planting early in the season so they just became like "oh OK well yeah i guess that makes sense. So they lacked depth in that regard.

This was my first BL with Ohm (Thun) and i was so impressed with what he added and his acting especially with someone like Singto (Med) was perfect.

For once i found myself wanting more side stories i genuinely wanted more of Jeng and Ngoon.

If M.Night directed a BL

I was checked out from the beginning. It really didn't have any redeeming qualities.

- The audio was awful
+ the acting was OK
- the story was confused

It was some terrible Queer Romeo & Juliette story written around a shock ending that wasn't a shock. It was just disappointment and fell so so flat on its face. I really hate trashing a show but it has no clear direction and was confusing.

The actors as usual tried their hardest but even the best chefs can't make a 5 star meal or of McDonald's and the characters were just terribly written.

I was looking forward to this but i honestly can't think of a reason to even recommend it to anyone. There's hundreds of BL and dozens of bad ones to watch ahead of this. It's not even worth watching to see why it was just so MEH?

What a mess

I really don’t know what else to say but it’s just a bloody mess. This was the most anticipated sequel of Filipino BL I had next to Gameboys.

This was a cobbled together mess of people trying to capitalize on popularity of the first show. I don’t know if the writers were replaced or if they just just lost the entire concept of a plot.

The side character stories were far far more interesting then anything that the had Ben or Jim. What a waste of great actors and talent. Their fantastic performances like Roy’s for example couldn’t save this gong show.

They did the cast wrong with this terrible terrible mess of a story. Don’t watch. Just pretend it ended at the first series. It just made no comprehensive sense at all.
