A shoutout to Chen Du Ling as well. Refreshing to see her as the heroine for a change instead of being a subordinate character or bitchy villainess everyone loves to hate.
Hmmmm was it only last year we were watching Neo Hou as the cute but doofus dragon lord in Back from the Brink and talking about how his acting is still work-in-progress? Watching him in Dashing Youth and here, I'm cheering for him as he seems to be really making some commendable progress and getting comfortable in his own skin.

Yups. Just spent the last couple of weeks looking for apartment in BKK. Also activated my Sarawak MM2H as a plan B. Looking forward to BKK - the food scene since covid is crazy good. See how many of their restos are in Asia's 50 Best.........meanwhile can't see any from M'sia.

Yups v derivative at this stage..........I like ZWY so will stick with it for a bit. Plus I'm already implementing my FIRE plan so am officially in tai tai mode and got time for drama consumption😂

Ya this is why I'm not going be a sucker this time for the express package. Cos it doesn't look like we will get as dark an ML as in the novel. And also waiting to see how they portray her relationships with all the other men in her life/past life if they do away with the reincarnation foreknowledge.

Yes, I was like alamaks did they just go and lift all those backstories from the other dramas. Can't they think of a better way to redo a reincarnation beginning - I felt like I was just rewatching the other dramas esp when the original novel doesn't have such a same same backstory as The Double et al.
Ok I’m getting WZ and JC’s development, but PY is all over the place. Is it that whatever interest he has in JC has to be subsumed under his familial obligations and mother’s plans, whatever they are? He’s coming across rather flaky now.
It's become somewhat draggy and slow. Also descending into the farcical esp with the two stooges, CXZ and ZQ. They're going to compress and/or skip so much since it's almost down to the last 10 eps..........
Can anyone tell me, was FL really a concubine of SML Or was it just a cover to hide the leader, also why she decided…
Not really bandits, more like rebels trying to restore the rightful emperor. She joined them rather than get married to some fat guy picked by her deadbeat dad and probably cos she thought she was fighting the good fight. She doesn't have any official/formal relationship with the ML, it's all made up by him to draw out the rebel leader, Lu Wen.
Yeah the reveal took too long and it lost further momentum due to side couple sub-plots. I feel at this point…
Ya again it's the problem of diverging from the novel lah. There she's pissed and confused when her uncle turns up to tell her she's been missing for 2 years (she hasn't regained her memories) and they then find out CXZ's real identity.
But after a while, she just goes, ok, am pissed but she doesn't feel completely cheated or taken advantage of since she admits to herself she enjoyed bonking him as he's pretty good at it and also drop dead gorgeous - LOL - plus she recognises some of his other good points. (See they should not have skipped the sex at the hot springs scene lah - is it so wrong to have women enjoy sex? )
Because she doesn't remember her Lu Wen years, she doesn't have as much innate hostility. She still leaves cos he's not offering to make her his main wife at that point and she wants to get back to her family, but one feels that her actions are very much in keeping with her character.
But the subs are a mess…..looks like they haven’t had time to clean them up.
