For those who were obsessed with this show like me, have you found a new cdrama that you really enjoyed ? I haven't…
No still nothing. Am still rewatching parts of SOKP and checking out the Canto version every now and then.
ROTP is indeed very good with Chen Kun and NiNi, just stop watching at ep 50 and you’ll be ok. Other than that I’ve had to plug the hole with some kdramas.
Oh yes, am also watching The Mutations which is quite enjoyable if you’re into costume drama monster stories. But at 12 episodes only, not a drama to obsess over like SOKP……..
The international distribution sounds like a mess:https://www.dimsumdaily.hk/shanghais-cinematic-blossom-wong-kar-wais-epic-series-set-to-redefine-television-aesthetics/
According to this article:1. The Shanghainese version will air on WeTV2. The Putonghua version will air on CCTV.https://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/entertainment/article/3245843/wong-kar-wais-blossoms-shanghai-tv-show-what-expect-how-true-it-stays-novel-its-based-and-how-fans
Aiyah, can't find it anywhere despite trying several VPN locations................
The most horrific monsters are the humans who treat their prisoners as test subjects. This is based on actual war crimes and biological experiments carried out by the Japanese army’s Unit 731 in WW2. The list of horrors they inflicted on their victims was exhaustive and insanely cruel, so there is extra poignancy for anyone watching this living in East and Southeast Asia. The creature may be stuff of sci-fi horror but this is actually a case where art can barely keep up with the truly horrific atrocities of mankind.
Hey can someone explain how Chinese censoring works? I was watching unchained love and the drama started feeling…
Who really knows? Sometimes we get truly lucky and they let something like Word of Honor air…….although they very quickly realised what happened and followed up with all sorts of bans.
This drama could have been perfect without the shit stain watermark always popping up at the corner of my screen.…
The director has a lot to answer for from his fixation with lens flare and overexposure to that weird watermark - as if he needs to throw everything at the audience cos they can't tell it's a flashback 🙄. Some weird camera angles as well. Is it any wonder JXN takes so long to suss XW's feelings for her when every time they get close, the director decides to shine big bright blinding lights at them?
