These are probably already haters nd black acc ready to use this to additionally smear her ....mostly on Weibo. But on other platforms like tiktok, yt or even xhs I see people just expressing general worries, not judging her or linking her directly in any way..def not in a way you described. Many of them aren’t her fans or interested in details, they just know there’s a big legal fight going on...so it’s natural to wonder if it’ll affect vos..it shouldn't be hard to tell the difference btw ppl you are seeing on Weibo nd these others..

Lol...he built everything around them ...characters, looks, surroundings, even the story. I mean you don’t really cry about "not being able to move on" if you’re simply watching the leads. If that were the case, ppl could watch them walk down the longest street in different costumes for 45 min across 34 ep… and still be hooked. But we all know a simple drop button would be pushed instead😁

Agree... he had to get used to it... but also he’s got a loyal fanbase that loves his work...whether novels or dramas...that’s how he survives, tho they’re not super vocal. I’ve watched a lot of his stuff but I just follow what he’s working on next and give it a try cause of him. What i don't get are the people who are saying that they can’t move on from his dramas like fof but still go all out seriously trashing him...don’t get their logic..

He’s been trashed for years ... any excuse works so nothing new there. Now ppl are stalking his Weibo...counting his night logins to say he’s worried…writing whole fantasy stories about it... nd obviously believe he doesn’t have a phone and has to use a public pc to check Weibo news..😁

It would be nice to have a source since a lot is going on. I still think vos will air in January. What’s happening looks like a contractual dispute... for a drama to be shelved, there would need to be serious accusations like tax fraud or embezzlement.. not the case here..

I also think VOS was rushed at one point. I remember rumors around sept or oct saying vos activities suddenly sped up and ppl were wondering what's happening. Now that we know things were happening between jjy and her ex company back then...it makes sense vos might have tried to move fast before things got heated...more reason to believe it will air in January..
I don’t see Siba being able to take any legal action against Youku or the other VOS producers...or those behind her latest drama that wrapped up... plus her weibo follower numbers aren’t dropping either...on the contrary. So the noise doesn’t seem big enough to delay vos...if anything the latest producers and also investors have every reason to push it forward and even side with her as things stand right now...it's their own investment they need to protect after all...unless smth else more serious happens like tax evasion issues or smth on that scale..

The novel case is really old, over 20 y..and he obviously never agreed that it was plagiarism. He refused to apologize and tbh the line between inspiration and plagiarism can be very thin...like does writing about a magical ring automatically mean you’re copying Tolkien? Idk about the FOF accusations... I didn’t see them, esp not during airing. FOF was getting a lot of attention in China, but cause of the old novel case and the resentment it caused it happens that his drama keep getting downgraded there no matter how good they are, plus there was also some dispute with iQIYI and a weird airing schedule.. but even in 2025 FOF is still among top 10 on iQIYI's list for merch sales, so it wasn't affected. The plagiarism claims feel often overblown ..and I'm seeing such from time to time..if he shows a cloudy sky some will point to the other drama with a cloudy sky scene and call it plagiarsm..cause of the old case..it’s almost a pattern now..

He paid immediately but refused for years to apologize or admit wrongdoing...fueling hate nd backlash in China over it for years. He rarely talked about it, once saying people who were hating him hadn’t even read his novel...but he stayed persistent in his refusal to apologize. In 2020 he and Yu Zheng ...who had even more plagiarism controversies at the time... were publicly threatened by the very industry in an issued letter with industry blacklisting over their refusal to apologize. This was happening around the time when Yin Yang Master was airing or about to air, don’t remember...and only then gjm finally apologized.

The drama had a copyright problem cause it was filmed before they secured all the adaptation rights from the original Japanese rights holders ..since it's based on the novel and anime The Story of Saiunkoku..but it's solved now.

I didn’t first get what Pea said to get that reply....but the thread links your reply to her "daddy" joke ... it’s our internal joke about me being gjm’s daughter. ..so it’s about gjm not Rui and was clearly a joke aimed at me...the kind we’ve had for months. It didn’t deserve personal attacks calling her weak for expressing herself and argue...she’s been keeping this page positive for months and almost hosting it lately when many are gone... it’s clear that arguing isn’t what keeps her on this page...

Yeah...the nr of reuters and some clips have really made vos known ...just one clip ...that Rui flying anime on tiktok got near 8 million views....and i know that one clip of jjy’s clips is in the millions too...i forgot which one..and these are just 2 clips getting so much attention ..

Idk abt the courage but ...all these are just opinions in this thread... I usually stay away from this type of guessing cause it’s impossible to know the truth...they might be at each other’s throats over who covers the costs or in perfect sync how to promote it..
