GJM’s new work is a fantasy....very much his thing, with demons..spirits, magical beings and their emotional, tear-jerking backstories. The tricky part with HD is the loud and devoted novel and donghua fandom. It’s also female-centric story with little to no romance ...which I don’t mind at all. So the material seems good... with more deeper stories but tbh it’s probably best for Rui to stay away from this one....the potential for backlash and fan wars is huge imo..

Not sure what you meant. The submitted version must be the final cut, with all scenes, full editing, dialogues, and storyline locked. Just things like OST, sound effects, and dubbing can be adjusted later. So any BL or GL scenes you mentioned, all scenes were seen by censors in the final cut and approved, they couldn't get some half-baked version with missing scenes and footnotes like ...imagine this scene happening, sorry for the rush🙂 ...not entirely sure what you meant..but you are right about dubbing and sound effect, it’s possible to work on them later..who knows maybe those 19 songs are still cooking..

In reality, this couldn't possibly happen... a group that is 10 time larger could easily crush the smaller one... but you love fantasy stories, stretching reality to fit your narrative how the bigger tribe from whatever reason

Btw, Weibo fanwars dont't belong here..the thrill you chase you can only find on Weibo...you've already found the fans who are "sharpening their claws" to get into fights over gjm's "poor" billing and casting choice. These are pointless fights cause the decisions about billing, cast, CP... were made over a year ago, filming is done, the cast and CPs are locked. So nothing can be changed. So what fight could possibly change the outcome? None.
So talking about GJM "poor" choices isn't really fighting, but simply whining and sulking over their own dreams that would stay just dream...like a dream of having just two first leads instead of four, or a dream of CP they wanted instead of the one that actually exists, so these talks are just whining over fantasies that won't realize. Stop using this page over and over to speak on behalf of Rui... his fans, or even GJM. Your posts show a clear pattern... they’re aimed at turning other fandoms against Rui. Your comments about him and even GJM are all over mdl and have been saved. They clearly show that your real target is Rui, and not even gjm is spared, and once again you’re trying to stir things up here, especially among jjy's fans....pretending concern while hoping things will backfire on him. This kind of reverse trolling is the worst.
Rui’s fans are extremely happy for him and this role. Stop spreading lies how they are not going to watch this drama. They’re making edits... posting actively...and promoting this drama and his other projects across platforms. His fandom is still new and relatively small compared to other main leads here...so it can’t reach others as widely as those larger fandoms can, but they’re still doing their best.
I follow them regularly for updates and have noticed how well they’re even handling the news about the delays. Yes, there’s disappointment... like everyone else... but no overreaction and they do not spiral in conspiracies about the reasons. They’ve already shifted putting their focus to fully support his upcoming works and are still using the space to promote vos as well.

Rui is still new to the industry, with a theater background, but with only two aired dramas so far, with just litle over 2 years in the filming industry, yet his growth has been fast and solid, noticed mostly for his acting skills. His fanbase is naturally smaller than those actors with much longer careers, and his fans know that. They clearly have disadvantage in numbers if they find themselves in any kind of fanwar. They know this well and that's why they don’t act recklessly or actively provoking...they focus is on steady support, not fanwar baiting, like you are doing. They are new, young but not without brain..

If equal billing is being called a poor decision by GJM does that mean the four main actors who accepted it were also making a poor decision? In my view, they’re all professionals who know the industry ...the longer the career, the more experience and understanding of what they’re signing up for. Treating them as naive, or incapable of making informed decisions is more insulting,, but this is nothing new, every fanbase has fans thinking how their idols can't make a right decision for themselves without their supervision and guidance.
Also calling GJM’s decision poor just shows a misunderstanding or ignorance of his signature approach. For years, he’s never followed billing rules religiously. His work is recognizable for ensemble storytelling, with multiple main leads and strong supporting characters that elevate the whole story. He’s always done things differently, and that’s exactly why he’s successful. If success is measured by Weibo followers, as some say, his 40M+ following is the direct result of this approach..
Of course, fan wars happen... they always have. His projects often come with controversy, heavy fanwars, his movie was taken down, yet even with all the noise, his dramas and films stay relevant for a long time, his popularity remains or grow. They may not explode immediately at the start, esp when fan wars are at their peak, but they grow over time steadily, attract new viewers, and keep sailing long after fans move on to the next drama of their idol and to the next war. So he has been through this so many time before so why would vos be any different? Ofc he knows the fanwars are inevitable, but his decision is the same every time.

Ooh, I haven't heard this about Hello Saturday... I hope this means a closer air date cause the last rumor I saw was May. I'm not sure how Rosy Clouds will turn out cause I've heard people who were watching the anime say it looks very changed. I loved what I read about Rui's character and what I managed to see looks like the changes weren't made about him..hard to tell now ofc..
Youku is awful with unpredictable airing schedules that often seem more like a random thing, made impulsively based on some tarot card reading than some serious planning....from the very start i was more pessimistic thinking that it might air in Q2, but the intensive talks abt Jan changed my view, now idk...I'll start slowly to step back...i no longer have any idea what the wait is with HS..☹️ if vos starts to drag, with HS this could mean that gjm is not on good terms with them..

🫠🫠🫠What if the trailer comes too soon...the number of theories will be in the hundreds, and with the old ones revised...it will be a thick novel, making gjm jelly...😁

They passed the review with 24 out of 30 episodes...but I haven't seen any news about getting the distribution license yet...

By the way, I don't watch either the Republican dramas. Those love stories about warlords, seeing one, you've seen many, lol.. But at the time, when I heard about BN possibly having problems with getting approved...I looked up what issues usually lead to cuts and changes.
Tho I don't know much about that part of history, it was interesting to read, but i agree i hate every censorship but also every demand to artificially push the desired social changes..like we've seen happening with western works...leave the creativity alone ..lol...so it was then that I stumbled upon many examples and problems they faced after cuts and changes that were demanded, and what ppl were talking about...

It's unbelievable how much time has passed....I think that MJTY and FOF have had every possible edit...and the creators are getting desperate cause lately, I'm seeing edits of Rui versus Rui, as Yichen and Yuanzhi in every possible story, even one crazy love story made as a short movie😂 couldn't believe my eyes but the edit was really good..lol. but Rosy Clouds nd BN were unlucky having these problems..and now the rumors about vos getting postponed...so I'm like what's next..sigh...the newer one shouldn't have the issues so maybe we'll see PF first..give me whatever..nd I'm getting impatient to hear abt the next project..but he said it also got postponed ..tho we don't even know what it is..😒

Yeah...same here, but it's the trickiest genre for censorship. There are many cases where cuts were obvious and messed up pacing, transitions, even character arcs...they suddenly change or their motivations become vague...the story gets toned down.
That's why I don't really believe the cuts were just filler or some less important dialogues, the censorship in the republican dramas usually goes straight for the story and arcs which they found politically or morally unacceptable..
I don't fear much that the story will be incomprehensible, they will probably edit it to avoid it, or i hope so...but it may be less good overall and we'll never see the original version 😭it's just too many episodes..tho i was super glad that it finally passed..some never air...a few waited for years..the safest path is just focusing on the love story, but this doesn’t seem to have romance as a main plot..which i like but it's a reason now for the delay nd cuts...

I’m a bit worried about the 6 episode cut. It's probably due to censorship and politics so the original sharper or darker story might get watered down...not to mention that pacing could suffer, and motives feel a bit off and unclear...It could still be good enough but maybe not as good as the original story was envisioned and made. Hopefully I’m just being a bit pessimistic now and the editors will work some magic..🙏

GJM and YZ were in the same boat during that big storm in 2020 after that explosive letter from the c-ent industry was sent to them both..sooo maybe they’re not on great terms since then, or just don’t want to revisit those bad memories.😄That’s why I’m not too worried about the lack of a poster...i don’t see it as a sign of anything serious with vos. Could simply be two big egos...shared history...and a bit of pettiness 😉

Right....when you have sources with a good history and higher leak accuracy...and the drama actors and some close employees are telling us soon, and see all the fanbases receiving instructions from the top to start prepping....ofc many more will start to believe more than those usual random rumors..tho never fully ofc...
So I'm disappointed but it is as it is...if that March rumor is even true...idk who said it... just saw ppl here talking like it's more true than less..it must also be some acc with credible sources if it spreads like fire..
We have other dramas to watch..hope that BN will air soon..i originally wanted to see Rui’s older dramas first, before vos anyway...so this nd Rosy Clouds with the latest rumores it may air in May..this is in line with those from a few months ago abt airing in Q2 26 that gave me a headache at that time...🥴
