My thoughts after watching the first 5 episodes.
The pacing feels relaxing and refreshing. Since its a 40 ep drama, I appreciate how they are taking the time to slowly built the story and the characters. I usually find dramas with slow pacing a little boring, but this one has enough suspense to keep me watching. This is my second drama of Cheng Lei and my first of Bailu. I'm loving Bailu's acting and her character. Ye Li is definitely smart but her easygoing personality is fun to watch too. I love her interactions with Mo xiu yao. Mo xiu yao is interesting too, love how they showed his pov at ep 4. Him observing Ye li was so cute. I love cheng Lei's micro expressions. After 5 eps we can see where the story is heading, and overall got an idea about the politics too. The Li shan mountain mystery is intriguing. So excited for next episodes!
