work so well together. Hhaha I loved those two myself , there weee hints of a strong understanding developing, I suppose things are left open for them to work at :P maybe it had to do with production requirements, they could have filmed that on the day of airing or something. In any case I'm very happy you are happy with it. So, what are you up to now, then?

Farah! Hello! THank you for your insightful comments about the legal procedures in the Chaser, it's great to read them, very insightful, since not being trained in law I did not pay attention to whether or not a thing like a case within a case can be done, though I found that somewhat puzzling. I'm glad you enjoyed the drama on the whole. Yes, I agree with you on the flashbacks, I also felt that doing the trial in a different way would have guven a more satisfying ending and I'm not sure what ultimately decided to have it this way. The conclusion was pretty much cut as if short. Even so, the ending we had did bring peace of mind to the poor character. What I liked most was how friendship and loyalties were thoroughly tested and they did well on the power corrupts front as well. It is a rare drama, though, I agree, were you get pulled so much into all of the characters and where they

Reverse psychology! Of course, I guess I haven't thought of that, but it actually make sense. What I would do without Bokami's enlightened perspective? :D Beautiful explanations. Indian remake? Ok, that's interesting. Didn;t you say there is a hollywood remake coming? :Shudders: I don;t think I want to see that, they won;t be able to get it right.... No, I guess you're right censoring it wouldn't have made such an impact. I will watch sympathy for lady vengeance maybe not right now, lately I think I may have watched far too many dark movies, but they were really good, I found them all very interesting, brutal and disturbing. Most of them came as a recommendation from you and Yeona, so I have much to thank you both for ;-) I hope you have a nice day.

:-) no worries, Bokami. well, I saw that you gave it an 8 so i guess it was okay :D I watched Old Boy today. This movie has seriously tested my tolerance limit for certain themes. It was a very good movie, except...I really have zero tolerance for incest, it's just..not right, so it was a greatly disturbing thing, . Heart may not be a servant and can't control who it falls in love with but this was really disturbing.moreover the females were presented ina very shallow way and mostly as a plot device The revenge itself was really something, plus I really liked how he questioned the hypnosis, and at the end the hypnosis didn't seem to work, either, so perhaps earlier, too... Very disturbing. The beginning was great, however. The lead was obviously excellent.

Happy Birthday Dae-Su! :D
yes, now I can also second this opinion. Oldboy leaves a big and disturbing impression. I"m really impressed with him.

htrue emough, not all of them, though, some of tem pick up towards the end redememing the drama. well I am in the middle of a drama called Bokura no Yuuki, where a group of kids are isolated by government in a town for fear of spreading a mysterious illness, quite interesting. And i just stumbled into a pretty good hong kong time travel drama so I'm watching it now too. But other than that I just watched a bunch of movies. wsh it were still weekend. are you planning to watch rich man poor woman and/or special, if you've seen the drama?

Ech. jeszcze mi tylko memories of matsuko zostaly i mo?e mother z takich ciemniejszych i ciezkawych filmów, ale moze obejrze reszte "trylogii" OldBoya, a przynajmniej sympathy for lady vengeance.

But If you have any ideas, please let me know, the blog title and address should be more cool thatn journeys through dramalands it seems to me.

I know. Otherwise the beginning was brilliant and the main character brillintly acted, the female characters were somehow shallow..just devices...to be used, so I also had an issue here.

if you ar ein the mood for something manga-like then nodame cantabile- the main girl can be frustrating thoigh because undereanth it all nodame cantabile is the typical clumsy girl-cold guy kind of romance, where they eventually open up. The specials and the movies are good to watch in order to get a sense of tangible development. Himitsu no hanozono is not brillaint but it has some very warm moments, it;s about four brothers who write a manga under a pesudonym and need a real woman to stand in for them.

it was wasn't it? only the leads were likeable, the rest is utterly forgettable to me. they should really take greater care in uttimg more emphasis on the story. oh did you watch five fingers? how was it? well if it was a very heavy melodrama, something lighter would probably be nice, yes? Well looking at your list...Legal high is a comedy but with a very obnoxious character but it;s very clever; good luck is a drama about achieving dreams and has a bit of drama, friendship and romance, himitsu no hanazono is quite heart-warming but it's not brilliant, pride is a romance, konlatsu is a romance connected with trying to save your neighbourhood, the main character is pretty obtuse, that fool is I think likeable romance with a goofy but endearing main character. My highest recommendation goes to legal high I think.

haha. yeah, once you get sucked into real life I do think dramas tend to disappear from view, which is probably a good thing too. I also tend to disappear for lengthy amounts of time, only to reappear, but then once I get back my drive for dramas is even larger. I liked That Winter well enough, it was a beautiful package and I was surprised to see how Jo Ing Sung matured, I only saw him as a boy of 22 in The Classic, while here he's a man and a man who can act. The story itself was quite nice, it's a heavy melodrama with two characters having a love-hate relationship. And except for some incosistencies towards the end I think, however, the writers were quite clever from the beginning with some things, which gave a leeway for the ending they went for. If you liked Padam, you may like this one, it's from the same production-writing team. It is visually very very appealing too.

I hope you're having a productive weekend. I watched Old Boy. And I'm not entirely sure how to take Old Boy. It's very good in terms what it does-- and how it does the beginning is just brilliant, but I have a problem with the women in there, they ARE shallow. Hypnosis is one thing, but...I don't know, I guess this movie is THE limit of my tolerance. I found it too dosgusting, not least of all because I do not accept incest and I found the relationship of the perpetrator and his sister just wrong. I know I know falling in love can't be controlled but this was really disturbing. That in itself was no small thing for me, granted Dae su shouldn't have been so thoughtless but...te entire incest thing is just too much.

by the way, I also think you watched Sandglass. How does that compare to eyes of Dawn? I saw that you liked sandglass less. Somehow, these two titles have always sounded similar to me, mostly because they both seemed so widely popular and well-received and I felt that their ambience may be similar. I"m asking because I am deleting some titles from my Plan to watch lists and am wondering about this drama.

I'm still wondering whether to watch City Hunter. Legal high is hilarious and very well written. It laughs at some established drama cliches whilst still maintaining good drama on its own right. I do hope you will enjoy it. Japanese are good at comedies and twisted stories. Yes, the different perspective is what I am after. I was really interested in Kim Yusin in Queen Seonduk, but there was not enough fpocus on his achievements, so I want to see more perspective on this hero. hahaha, there are too many dramas out there. I want to buy some of them but I never have enough money for that, unfortunately. I'll need to decide which ones I want and then perhaps I can buy them in bulk one day. But it's hard to choose...

I am eternally disappointed in the quality of chinese writing and production: it's negligent and lacks genuine substance, makes errors for the sake of drama. BAD. In this respect, Step into the past is a bit better, it follows a very funny modern guy onto ancient times and focuses entirely on him. He meets a bunch of women along the way-all of them fall in love with him, because he's kind and logical, though he makes rash decisions soemtimes, he's quite likeable overall. It's not bad, though there are times when people seeing his strange modern ways should say something and not stay silent, so it;s also not what I"m looking for. While TWTWB producers must be happy, they really gave us something to talk about and think of and in a good way.
