All right Bimba. Bridal Mask is pretty worth watching, the action sequences are good, the story is about how difficult it os to be a hero, the transitions are plausible. It hasn;t pulled me in but the visuals and setting is appealing and I can see why it is a popular drama. Have you started watching it yet?

God! So frustrating! They cripled it!
What does that mean? The japanese version was the original one? Or do you mean the manga? Why do you think so? I"m just curious. The drama was pretty well received at the tim of its airing in Japan.

well I am in double mind about it. I think it woul be Operation proposal to be honest, because I liked some aspects of it in the later episode. I liked the ending to rooftop prince, but the middle was done in a sterotypical way- but the ending was so open ended that it was lovely- i appreciate the writers for this kind of not so simple ending, good call. In Queen Ihnuyn's man I just loved the chemistry between the leads- they were adorable. As for Time slip Dr Jin..I'd say watch the original. Remakes tend to be..problematic. What about you?

offer, at least this is how I feel about it. The main problem is probably the acting for me- Toma is definitely not UTW and I can't adapt and I find him miscast, ohmo is pretty good as the lawyer, however, even if he does lacks Ji Hoo's cold aura.

though to be fair, both versions are worth watching because they try to adopt a different angle and appeal to different demographic, but I;d say the orignal version is more alternative, the japanese version tries to be more mainstream in a way and just doesn't have the same chemistry UTW-JJH that drew me to to Mawang- because they had excellent "chemistry". There are some other details but I don't want to spoil it for you, we can doscuss when you watch. The angle is different in maou, however. I recognize the events in maou, too an i very cleary see in what ways they were abridged, events from two or mroe episodes lumped into one- this is why I probably can;t see the drama in a fresh way, I already know the story, but the angle is different.I think it may have been better to start with maou, to be honest, because mawang is the fuller version and japanese version has consequently less to

haha, well e is quite charming and lovable. He got muc better since my girlfriend is a gumiho. I am yuet to watch Shining Inheritance, but in K2H, he is indeed a king of hearts lol. Well as not being a fan of LMH, I am a bit troubled because the writer of the drama wrote some excellent dramas in the past..so I am in double minds whether to watch or not. It's just that, with all respect to you and other fans, his acting doesn't convince me. Moreover, this season has abounded in time travel dramas, so the idea is now a bit tired for this season..in any other season it would be more appealing, but I will have a look once it finishes airing. 2012 is drawing to a close but it has been filled with too many good dramas, it feels like they overpriduced tis year lol.

aww happy birthday :) Very likeable actor- has pleasant disposition. I've been thinking about what makes me like him- he seems to ease himself into the stories naturally, there is no artificiality about his acting. He understands the characters he plays and how they should work out within the stories. I really like him.

hahah, touche! Remakes are generally a bad idea.. I am not going to watch it, I watched the few episodes of jIN and its ambience is unoqie, the korean version didn;t have the same feel, so I dropped it. I know, I made a second one...I hate that we can;t edit the recommendations :( oh well, i reported the duplicate so maybe someone will delete the recommendations with errors.

Title Devil
I loved the Devil, I have no love for this version, however. Even though both are versions of the same drama, chances are if you liked Maou, you may not like The Devil and vice versa. Maou is more fast paced, has popular teen idols and is pretty detailed but doesn't build tensions quite as well as Mawang. Mawang is more adult, has more depth, better acting and is longer. Therefore, Mawang is recommended for those who like more depth and stories told in a more detailed way. Maou is recommended for younger viewers and those who prefer shorter and fast-paced stories. However, tyhe japanese version does focus more on the lawyer- and so adapts a different perspective, the korean version follows the detective much more, which gives it a rationale to watch both versions to fill the different angles.

LOL no way :P I don't think I could appreciate that. But a teen-adapted version well, maybe it could popualrise the drama, but Lee Bum Soo was just too god and the girl too..too good. The japanese can;t produce in quote as good way as koreans, imho.

the ones in "Thoughts Section for instance: Taiwanese Dramas, It's been a while, Matsuda shota in RelSpa, Lakorn! and Lakorn 2 in that same category, Ten Special Affairs Team and A gentleman;s Dignity in IMW, Jam Levy Ruk in that same category, and that's all I noticed. Are you planning on watching Bride mask? I think you may like it.

but at the same time this is not done sufficiently deep to involve me. I will give this drama you talk about a try-I was actually thinking about it but hesitated as te synopsis about a jealous student put me off a bit., because it sounded like te student is a man-hunter type, but I will give it a try for sure. I am watching Maou now and you know what, I can't seem to like it! It's lackluster to me and Toma is just not UTW and Ohmo doesn;t have the same cold aura as Ji Hoo... and yet the drama is loved by teenagers...the drama won Nikkan sports awards, wile mawang remains an underdog. that really makes me angry because the korean version is far more mature, deep and detailed than the japenese version, which i find to be far more shallow. And yet teeans would find Mawang boring and draggy for sure- this is the kind of thing that actually tends to annoy me.

after that, we will rationalize this love and either find explanations for it - logical explanations or we will find that the drama was actually overrated- this is how favourites get picked. I am watching bridal Mask now- it fails to engage me emotionally, so I am watching clearly and I can see its good points such as action sequences etc, but the fact that it;s not pulling me in (except for the older brother story at the begnning) suggests to me that the formula as worn- as this drama seems to draw on the success of such dramas like the princess man and i can see why it would ave mass appeal and moreover i think it deservedly has the mass appeal since it has all the elements popular drama watchers will enjpy. As for me, I find myself drawn to the fact that it tries to present how difficult, lonely and burdensome it is to be a hero

I was curious about your Giant watching ;-) Giant has one of the best older brother types on TV and the character really grow on you and you grow to really care for them- that' why I appreciate stories which begin with character's childhood. It gives such a better image of their selves. haha, I agree with you completely on my girlfein is a gumiho. There are people who logically hate it, but I say it;s fun. I also say to them then that Hong sisters dramas are either a hit ior miss- most of the time a miss for me, but Gumigo is the only drama I like by them. Others who idislike Hthe Hongs say that sometimes too, only have a different preferred Hong drama. I think I can relate to that logic is not always the main reason we like a drama...first, there is en emotional recognition..I tend to think..it appeals to our sense of experience of the world perhaps, to our values, our feelings. I think
