Finally finished it. The story was interesting. The acting by the leads was bad, supporting actors quite good, Wang Duo was one of the highlights.

It's good that it'short. I get easily bored at around ep 20. It keeps my attention, because it's a bit different and not overly predictable.

Well, I'll give it a try. If it's just a misunderstanding, I won't miss a good story. Thanks for the headsup!

I find the ML overbearing, so I will pass.

I think my favorite season will be S1, and maybe S3, because I'm more into action than palace politics. But nonetheless I'm watching S2 and I don't even want to stop. It just flies by as someone here put it. The dialogs are so witty. And yes, I like playing chess.

They seem to be overall here on MDL. But I have noticed that when the series progresses, the trolls move away to find another victim, and the comment section becomes more comfortable. I don't care about rating, comments are more interesting (when some time has passed).

Yao Ling Shi Zhu. When Xiao He knows the truth, the spirits they are raising become spirit eaters. It's a bit confusing. Xiao He who is a 'demon' spirit (yao) becomes a 'demon' spirit eater - eats other spirits?

I am rewatching and have a question about the 'earth deities'. What exactly are they? There are 3 realms: Human Realm, Immortal/Devine Realm and Spirit/Demon Realm. Beyond that there is Extranatural/Sky Above Heaven. Where do the earth deities come in?

I am still rewatching, pleasantly entertained, while waiting for some drama to catch my attention. Joy of life 2 maybe will do it. But I don't feel the urge to move on at all.
