Are they trying to make me hate Ming? Because the moments where I like him are being far out-shadowed by the many moments in which I dislike him. I’m all for a glorious character redemption arc, so I’m looking forward to that, because I really want to like Ming, as I said, he has his moments. I’ll be crossing my fingers he does better with Joe 2.0 than he did with the original.
Remember, at the time the aurora created a gateway, the meteor shower was at it's peak. Time could have changed…
But wait, the clock strikes midnight, Songjam hesitates in front of the mirror, then the portal opens up, he throws the coin, the whole time, the room he is looking at is Aksorn’s. Arguably, we didn’t technically see the coin land on Aksorn’s side, but the room Songjam is looking at, at midnight, is undoubtedly still Aksorn’s. It’s not until he jumps through the mirror that the room changes. (Btw, this is just fun to talk about, I honestly mean no offense at all. )
I’ve never been more upset, or really upset at all, by a mirror in my whole life. Why did it connect the space between Songjam and Aksorn but not the time?
I understand that to watch this series to begin with I have to suspend my belief, but this isn’t sitting right with me. The room Songjam jumps into being all of a sudden the same room from decades ago, even though he was all this time connected to the room of the present, just doesn’t make sense to me.
If the mirror really was somehow a portal that connected two universes, how come Songjam wasn’t looking into an empty room this whole time, but instead the room during the time in which Aksorn lived there? Why does the space and time disconnect only occur once the portal is traveled through? That damn mirror has become my most hated inanimate object ever. You totally let me down mirror!
I’m not happy about this. All it took was one episode, which I had been looking so much forward to watching all week, to completely change the way I feel about this show.
What a thrill ride of a season this was! Absolutely spectacular! The only thing that would have made it any better is if Gun Woo & Woo Jin developed feelings for each other past that of a bromance. But that’s just my BL-lovin’ heart coming through. Those two truly are soulmates though, just the bff’s kind, which was still totally cool by me. Chingus for life!! I seriously loved this so much. There was some gratuitous violence, or at least what I would consider as such. But hey, that’s what fast forward is for, so it didn’t bother me more than it should.
It ended before I knew it was over and I’m stuck with not knowing how to really process it all because it was far too abrupt. I feel like the last chapter was torn out of a book I was enjoying and I’ll never get to know what happens or what was the actual meaning of the story. I’m left underwhelmed and wishing for more story than what was told.
If you didn’t even record it on your watchlist then why leave any kind of record at all and post a comment? You haven’t experienced enough of the show to leave an opinion. Maybe next time just keep the negativity to yourself unless you’ve formed an actual response based upon viewing.
I feel this emptiness from this now being over, but simultaneously feel completely fulfilled by the whole entire show. Every moment, from beginning to end, was either damn near perfect or spot on perfection. Everything about Unknown was just done right. I mostly feel grateful for having gotten to follow along with such a beautiful and wonderful story. Unknown is going to be one of those shows that I’ll always miss and will never forget.
What a roller coaster ride of a show this was. I had so much fun watching and I would love to see a season 2. Completely compelling and gripping from beginning to end, and it was done so very well. The Vigilante still has work to do! Bring it on!!
I’m having such a hard time finishing this show. It’s incredible how quickly it caught my interest, and then how quickly it lost it. It was off to a great start, but even without that long wait to watch the second half of the season, I was already feeling my interest waning. I’ve only got an episode and a half to go, but the struggle is real.
