I enjoyed the first half (smart, intelligent FL) but the second was meh.. (if ML had died in the beginning, it wouldn't have made any difference. Besides saying "now I'm here for you", his role seemed kinda unnecessary for the plot. I wished they had supported each other more equally)
One of those series where they always put food on the table but most of the time, nobody f*cking eats. Like on ep 15, not once does anybody touch the steaks or the cake, why even bother? They could at least pretend to do it π
πππQuestion1. Happy ending?2. Story?3. Chemistry?4. Kiss scene?
1. Yes 2. Ok 3. That may sound weird but in my opinion, they feel more like brother and sister than lovers.. (romance is lacking, it's probably more like a child's first love, very awkward and lots of silly scenes, kinda disappointing) 4. First kiss in ep 14
I think perhaps you've just been choosing the wrong Japanese BLs if you're looking specifically for more mature…
That IS interesting for sure! I wish other directors would take it to heart as well.. π (but it'd be enough if they would be just a bit more realistic..)
The series started promising, then switched to a low budged soap opera and had the most horrible ending (you can't tease bl fans with kisses without giving them at least one. That's a big no go for me, I'm so annoyed right now π)

Thank you! Actually, I already know them π Generally, I'd just wish they would at least consider to use more realistic kisses (and be a bit bolder) in more series..
Loved the ML! But the last 3 eps dragged on endlessly.. And the ending itself was just lacking Personally, it'd…
.. If they used more eps to find a proper conclusion /solution for his heart and gave them more screen time afterwards (like showing them building their relationship with him being healthy again)
Like why did they suddenly decide to let the doctor who could've helped him die?
I don't get why so many people are complaining about this show. Personally, I love it, they're adorable. To me, it's like an old schoolseries. It kinda reminds me of counter attack (/in love with a rival) And it's certainly a refreshing different approach in comparison to other bl series, Id say it's more leaning towards a classic bl Manga style.
Anyway, I'd recommend it. The way Shang Zhou is approaching his secretary was great. They fit very well together β€οΈπβ€οΈ
"Instead, he tells them the job's complete and takes him home to hide him away." Haha, that summary made me laugh so hard. Like yeah, he surely (and innocently) just hides him away lol (it rather sounds like a deep dark bl fantasy) π€£β€οΈ
Japanese bl series are always the best (emotional deepness, plot). BUT they keep lacking with kisses and romantically closeness. And after Taikan Yoho, it's definitely no longer a cultural thing π

I love it very much and will definetly re-watch it in the future β€οΈ

Personally, it'd prefer.. (see spoiler below)

I still favor Ai Di and Chen Yi, they are just perfect together. And I love, how fast Chen Yi is catching up to Ai Di in loving him.
Overall, a very satisfying closure β€οΈ
