My question is will these two parts air back to back or will there be a gap btw the part like of few months similar to flourished peony

You can have any opinion abt the ending but I loved the fact that they showed some love to the supporting characters and showed what they been up to throughout the years.

Imo ending wasn't rushed which is rare bcz many cdramas liked to either give a last min ending or cramp everything in the last few episdoes bcz they kept the pace of early episodes far too slow.

The villain got the ending they deserved

Madam yu prided herself with power and prestige she lost everything and has to live with that fact and for a prideful person that's hurts more than death.

Yjx got humbled he treated everyone without family background as dirt and now he is the same without family background and bottom of the pecking order.


Yake is a interesting case she did evil deeds yes but she somewhat redeemed herself as well and accepted the fact that she tried to be someone she was not and freed herself from her own mental cages aka inferiority complex and find peace in the profession of her father aka teacher.

Senior yu got killed by the very son he treated as a pawn for his own schemes and they the person moving the chess piece(senior yu) got turned into a chess piece by his son is the ultimate irony. Senior yu wanted to throw him under the bus but the son pulled that stunt on him.

not even miss wu clapping back to yjx abt saying why cant say fty full name is she her ancestor or a goddess lollllllll

last few episodes were his humiliation ritual

i would say she got 25-35% redemption in my books

these moments felt like yake freeing herself from the cages she had built around herself. and fty was right if you will keep comparing your life to others you will never feel happy abt yours.

imo main reason that every cdrama feels same or somewhat similar is lack of characters with questionable morals talking abt leads not every lead male or female has to be green flag or green forest and always right or one or two steps ahead. there should be more shows talking abt idol ones especially since they get more international attention with yellow flag red flag black flag leads who make questionable choices.

like especially in idol period dramas if every character is playing dirty scheming why cant the leads do the same why cant they be evil or show shades of evil in their actions for once.

their censorship tends to sanitize or water down complex lead characters from novels into one dimensional mister or misses goody two shoes.
yes you can get the audience to swoon once or twice by their actions but same formula on repeat just kills the vibe.

ep 32; never expected i would cheer for yake for clapping back at yjx and calling him dull and telling him that no matter who he married would turn dull bcz of him lolllll

and yu senior comment to zl in ep31 that the more power you seek the more things you will need to do things against your will and kill ppl which you dont wanna kill pretty much sums up zl rise to power

and we viewers as well

need a group therapy for zl fty and whole northwest and us viewers aswell

true that if ppl are so pissed at the death of side characters that shows the drama put effort into them as well and not made a drama with 1000 closeup of leads and just focus on visuals

imo everyone is emotionally out rn to see that everyone is hurting not just them that includes fty and zl and whole northwest. she is not angry at zl but rather at the helplessness of their situation where they seem to have no way out.

i feel thats my guess give everyone 1-2 episode and when the emotions get lower and logic takes over the band will be together again

Not saying these shows should turn like western ones but come on is showing a toxic relationship or a red flag crime against humanity

Honestly heard it went from 32 to 24epi I was like Okay usual cdrama cuts and chops if the story is coherent fine I'll watch it but now peeps saying it is gonna go to 16 episodes

I am sorry I don't wanna say this but China population is more than a billion and it didn't reach that point by just holding hands why even allow romance heavy novels to be adopted if you gonna butcher their adaption and besides if kids are watching these shows shouldnt it be the responsibility of parents to not give them access to such subscription based sites in the first place.
