It's weird the mom has never shown up in the drama when the FL was having trouble with her company but the minute she hears about the FL having a boyfriend she shows up and tries to usurp her life and have her end her relationship.
It actually made EP 19 & 20 feel like straight-up fillers and not enjoyable to watch. Maybe if they didn't make her mom the typical overbearing rude Asian mom and more of a supportive one, I might have enjoyed those episodes.
A Xu Lu drama back to back. Love to see it. But seriously I'm glad her dramas are finally being released I remember hearing about this drama 2 years ago.
on episode 2 and im really confuse, when did they exchange contact numbers? did they show it? at the end of ep1…
Remember at the end of the first episode he sent her a message saying "found you". Basically when she was drunk she dropped her work badge and the ML picked it up and saw her name. He probably looked her up on WeChat and added her as a friend and she accepted. That's how he got her contact info.
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. Was it perfect? No. There were numerous plot holes, a weak mystery plotline and there were pacing issues. But overall I think this drama delivered exactly what it intended to do.
It made me laugh so much in the first half that I had to go back and rewatch some scenes before watching the last two episodes. Xu Lu and Ceaser Wu are great comedic actors and the chemistry between them was really good. For a comedy, I didn't expect so much romance. This drama most likely wouldn't have been so great if these two weren't the leads.
I enjoyed the second couple as well. The 2ML was a complete bimbo. But he was cute and the chemistry between him and the 2FL was adorable. I never got tired of their scenes. The ending credits with them at the end wearing the XO hoods was one of my favorites (you'll have to watch the drama to understand the symbolism behind the X & 0)
This show gets a 9/10 for me. I highly recommend anyone who likes a good laugh with a nice dose of romance to watch.
When I heard that Oda himself was going to be involved in this live adaptation I had faith that for once a live adaptation would be done well. But I will admit I was a bit skeptical about how they could possibly stuff six arcs in the span of eight episodes. But that worry was soon diffused after the first couple of episodes.
The cast was phenomenal (but that's no surprise Oda himself chose each cast member). But the actor that embodied the character the most in my opinion was the actor that played Buggy. His acting was A1 and his scenes always stole the show. Also, the actor who played Mihawk (just straight-up looked like his manga/anime counterpart.
I say this all to say, I really did like this live-action adaption and I gave it a 9. The only reason I didn't give it a ten was because of the filler content of Garp and Koby. I felt like their scenes were not only incredibly boring but completely unnecessary to the story. I would have preferred scenes of the crew bonding and acting silly on their ship but that's just me.
Thank the Lord I am on episode 16 but honestly, you could have just given me a movie at this point, and I would…
Those are my exact sentiments. I was on my phone during my break watching this drama and I didn't even realize I was giggling like a school girl when the FL started unbuttoning his shirt and feeling his chest until people started staring at me.

I enjoyed this at first but had to drop it because of all the excessive side couples/characters. The focus should have been on the main two couples.
