This was such a good rom-com. Did anyone see how shameless Gu Won's daddy was at the wedding? That man wanted his old boo thing back like he didn't cause all that women's misery.

The writers made the FL a bit too perfect. She's smart, beautiful, caring, and very capable. So capable in fact that she's able to make boatloads of money wherever she goes (with zero capital mind you). Don't get me wrong I really did like her and Song Yi did an excellent job portraying her but I felt as though out of all the characters she really didn't lose much. Everyone around her has lost people but we got fakeouts like her mom and her best friend being dead but in actuality we find out they're actually alive.
I could just be salty because Zhou Ye lost his entire family (while he and his father and brother were fighting a war) his future wife (to whom he never got the chance to propose too), his chance of being a father (because he refuses to marry because the love of his life is gone), and now he is forced to be the emperor because he's the most capable person. He got the short end of the stick.
It's rare for me to go into a drama and see all the actors deliver great performances. Every single character (even side characters) played their part. Liu Xue in particular did a fantastic job as LZS. He really made me hate his character to the core because he had no bottom line. Even after he got his "revenge" he didn't stop.
The first part is a bit easier to digest. It's a softer tone, even though you know trouble is looming you're still able to laugh and smile at the ML's antics and the leads slowly forming a bond. I liked it, but the second part was more to my taste. It was more politically heavy but this is really when the drama kicks off.
I gave this drama a 9.5. I explain why it's not a perfect 10 in the comment below this.
I'm only on episode 21 but the FL is hands down one of the best wives. I'm still cackling at how she hired a bunch of men to beat up her husband's boss in retaliation for beating her husband up.
In real life he does has the look of a bad boy 😄In this serie, he impress me because its not easy to make the…
He does have that kind of bad boy/villain look going for him. I want more roles like this for him. He seems like a bad guy but is a complete sweetheart to his lady.
I want her to do a Sageuk again (it's been years) or some kind of thriller. I love her and I've seen a lot of her acting in the past and I know she's capable of more than modern dramas.
Watching Deng Kei be a great husband in this drama and seeing him be a complete scumbag in Destined is such a contrast and true testament of his versatility as an actor.
I can't stand Kang Da Eul's husband and his bum family. This woman is on her feet for hours, comes home, and has to cook and clean for his family (who is disrespectful af) and her husband (if he's home) while he does whatever he wants. This man can't even do the bare minimum of picking up his daughter or taking out the trash. I really hope she divorces him at the end of this drama.
If you comsider WIFTY the gold standard of youth dramas, i think that standard is so low lol. Watch more youth…
I'm going to take it that you're eight. From the numerous grammatical errors and your overall childish response to an innocent comment. I don't argue with children.
frrrr I'm only 6 ep in so far and my brain keeps thinking about WIFTY ( especially the doomsday part that they…
I just watched the doomsday episode and my mind just went WIFTY did is so much better. *Sigh* Youth dramas are going to have to step there game up now.
