I believe Huanyu's plan to use the Infinite Fire was also firmly rebuffed by the elders. It's not just the SW's…
If you seen the story as perfect, I truly envy you π there's some downside of having critically active brain π if only I could get rid of mine once in a while
Honestly, I truly wanna kidnapped the writer and scream at him/her "Wei shen me?????? δΈΊδ»δΉ???? Whyyyyy????" π€ I mean, the cinematograph is top-notch! The directing and acting were outstanding! It is lavish beyond expectation. The pace and music were well-supporting. The screenwriting was decent. But the plot π₯² it could be better! If only! If only they had a bit more logic, the drama would be the best of the best!
I like that the story has each of the backstories of the characters. They were created as human beings and I could sense and understand their point of view, their action, their hatred and their passion. There's no such annoying character even in Wufeng (except the cameos at the end war). Until Gong Huanyu's resurrection. π I just can't understand his actions at all! Maybe because of the limited screen time to engage with his story.
I mean what do you mean Huanyu have to fake his death and plot such a ridiculous lengthy scheme when he could just kill the leader in a much better way without faking his death and become the leader himself? You mean he can manipulate Wufeng and Gong to such an extent but he can't plot a scheme where he kills the leader without killing himself? Wouldn't it become more efficient to ignite blind anger from the Gong family over the leader's assassinations, be the leader himself for he is already in line, and manipulate the Gong to use the fire for revenge? It's not that hard to hide a piece of stamped letter, which would be a great plot twist in the end.
And Gong Ziyu π₯² I never see any protagonist as useless as him π All he has in his life is luck! As if he overcame the struggle to be strong along with the story and have the most character development. But what do you mean by writing him as a smart/clever character when he knows nothing and kept knowing nothing about the Gong until a couple of last episodes of the story when he became a super strategist out of nowhere? πͺ But I truly love Yun Weishang (is that her name? π). All the spies from Wufeng that infiltrated the Gong truly played well. They were not empty evil villains, they were human with their story and I love it! I even love the teenage side of Who's that the poison master? Haha π he was annoying sometimes but I don't hate him. Knowing that he truly is still a teenager, the actor captured and played it well. And you see, how the Gong is described as strong and powerful that the spies hesitate to attack and Yun even mention that she might not be able to handle the First Sister, but the fact that the First Sister really know nothing but weapon π I love her character tho! It is just too much description/tell and not show! What a waste of good action scenes in there! I cried over the plot. They even spent one episode summing up Huanyu's story π€£ everybody gathered and quietly listened to the teacher's life story π.
Luckily despite my dissatisfaction over the plot, it is still quite decent and watchable not the unbearable terrible like the'Hero'. Maybe because I put high expectations since the beginning seeing how great it was... Still, I enjoy it a lot. Especially Yu and Qian's (sorry if I put the wrong name, they were the two main spies in the story) interaction. Love every second of it! Worth watching! π₯°π₯°π₯°
No offence for Go A Ra she's wonderful, but personally I could not enjoy her couple last work. Maybe since the Hwarang one. βΊ Although their rating is quite good. I am just the weird one hehe
Beccause it was your first watch the TW and the story told or watch once is enough, for us first time watchers…
Well it still a praise for the original writer. Because after all no matter which one version viewer enjoyed, the plot creator still the same . I had watched untill el 4 atm and it's pretty much similar at most of the story.
Ok well, I was watching this drama out of boredom not knowing that this drama have any connection with Someday Or One Day. And I have just watch until the second episode where I got slapped with 'This Is SoOD' realisation and come here ASAP. At first, before I know anything about this drama but its synopsis, I found it slow burned but soon lose my patient and began speeding it up a bit. Noted that It's been about two years or more since I watched SoOD so I got zero clue at the beginning. It's quite frustrating because I crave something fun but this pretty good depending on your mood. I am big fan of Someday or One Day (SoOD) and it was one of the best plot twisted drama at that time. It just I never rewatch it because once enough for the hype, watch it twice would kill my soul.
Yet, if I compared the actors from both Korean and Taiwan version, I prefer the Taiwan one. Maybe because it was the one left such derp impression or maybe their acting is actually better. In my very honest opinion, the clumsy act of FL younger version in Korean π somehow overact. I still like the Taiwan version of it. Beside, Greg Hsu is way more attractive π€π€π€π€π€ (very personal opinion)
Personally it's good! The story was quite refreshing. Shin Hye Sun portrayal of her character is awesome as usual. It's intriguing yet refreshing with great cinematic quality. I am not sure with the ML yet though but the FL and her story is good enough to make me wait for more
Before it was aired, I feel like it would be the classic plot one. And yesterday, I literally accidentally watch it, thinking it was another drama and I love the soul. I too a bit worried that LJH portrayal of Gu Won would be shadowed by his last king character but it is not! I am glad that he as much as I can see is Gu Won. π₯°
I cried my heart out in the last episode. I still can't stop crying π will wait till tom to express my solid emotion for this ambiguous ending ππππππππ
I've read the flow already, but alas! Tomorrow is the end. I'd just enjoy the ride then. But heck! Even JSJ's silence screaming act/scene was epic! Except for the lack of chemistry between MY&DJ (which I agree with every single degree the screenwriter pov. And it makes sense for MY to have such character), yet I have to admit that their love story was not my taste. As an old word says 'Nothing is perfect'. I'd still give the rare 10 points tho for overall aspect. Love it π»π»π»πππ
Soon after AoS1 ended, they announced for the second season and change the actress that played Naksu, I was truly worried. Not because I blindly hate the new actress, I barely know her. Or having too much love for JSM version of Mudeok/Naksu. JSM did played very good job capturing the character and made me hooked with Naksu. For that I have much worries that the new actress won't gave me same vibe and left the bitter taste of truth that her version of Naksu is different entity with JSM's version of Naksu.
Yet, I get fully satisfied that we got a true actress not the lazy one to play Naksu in the second season. Immidiately! on her first drinking scene alone in her little jail, you can see it was Naksu. The way she call 'Jang Uk', when she found the liquor, taste it, satisfied, then grab it in Jang Uk's house was 100% Naksu/Mudeok. The more episode I watched and by the end of the 4th episode, she played very good job capturing the essence of Naksu that's been left by JSM. I can see how much work she put in it and her hard work brings me such joy to enjoy the true intention of the show. it is that the soul matters.
Without the grandpa, the show has become Do Joon's playground. He played everyone like a fool and each of them walk into his ring of judgement confidently. I complained nothing about whose lead expectation. Doesn't matter if MY was put as a lead cast when she had limited screen time. Because the story was just right! Her characters meant to be idealistic and straight. While Do Joon must walk in the grey world he meant to be. Her character is not dull, she just one with integrity. And the world full of those colours. I wont expect everyone to be gathered in the same bloody holes! I love it so much π₯°
I usually get my meds before sleep because it gives some side effects on my heartbeat, but I forgot about it and have one before watching this bloody drama π Hell yeah! I couldn't sit tight on my couch and drained by anxiety through half of the story. π£ now im done! π I need to rewatch it tomorrow
I don't usually share my theory, but this one keeps banging on me. How if HW killer is actually Do Joon himself π€ for the sake to making the story works π if it follows the og story may that just an empty words of mine, a wild one.
I think the most likely thing to happen now is that he dies as jin do jun and goes back to being yoon hyeon woo.…
Tho based on the og story it didn't work like that but, I appreciate the idea. It was the best way possible a great writer can come up with to messed up with the ratings π

The FL's mom ππ»she's the worst human being in this series π
The ML's deceased ex πͺ what a source of problems, just like the ML's mom said 'be careful with whom you date!'
Syeon? The singer, what an annoying entitled stalker... π
The CEO's brother, the characters itself was an ultimate trash plush the actor overact π© bruhh unbearable π
The CEO was quite decent, typically good friend in drama but he too very indecisive. What the heck did you want? Protect your friend or sugar coating your artist??? π€ choose one dude π
It seems as if every other character made for the sake of both lead character shine shimmering slendid π€¦ββοΈ
The two poor human beings heal and fall in love with each other πͺ too classic
But I still watch it π€πππ hahaha
It's my first drama two year pick up and drop cycle. I wish I could finished it till the end.
Tho annoying to my logic, I turned off my brain anyway π€£
I'm flabbergasted!
Anyhow, that guy played Han something CEO Hue something, im positively in love π
Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! π₯³π₯³π₯³
