Ok I'm currently in episode 15, I admit both lead characters were amazing. The story was good and enjoyable. But I found alot other characters build too two dimensional for the sake of lead character. I also found out Young Master Chui overacting unbearable. Well generally I always uncomfortable with overacting.
The question is, should I give it a shot? Is it worth for me to invest more of my time and money to this drama? 😅 please enlighten me!

Now what? I'm just done watching the very last episode and emptiness began to hit the spot 😅
Well, every cast in this drama played their role well even Xue Shu. As much as she was the antagonist in this story, her decision to be the concubine gave very tasty dynamic to the plot.
The basic needs of good drama were fulfilled. Good story, a logical plot, and terrific acting. Made me able to point out more technical inconveniences of this drama. Something like the overplay hyper focus camera angle since the very beginning. The close-up shoot and hyperbolic backsound that was played too often made them less significant the more they played it.

I love how reasonably toxic Xie Wei and Jiang Xuening's relationship is 😅 Xie Wei stays true to his character till the very end, although bullying and showing favouritism to your kid even as a 'joke' wasn't something wise to do. Remember, kids might not yet be able to understand adult jokes. They tend to perceive everything seriously. That's why even the smallest and most ridiculous things from our childhood could leave an incurable wound.
But that's another thing, overall I very much enjoyed this drama 9/10

I was kind of on off with Xie Wei red-flag, but at least his action was reasonable. He's a complicated man for a reason after all. Not some spoiled jerk act domineering entitled because raised by money.

😒 I just picked this drama up yesterday and decided to watch the one on WeTv YouTube first. I watched on WeTv based on my country's channel not an international one and hell the comment section was so sick 🤮
There is one saying "The story is good but the FL does not fit the character. She's rather ugly. If only the FL was a glee&joy kind of lady it would be better. Someone like Dilireba or Zhao Lusi would be better" 🤯
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Reba and Lusi, both are amazing actresses but the comment was so 🙄

I feel like the drama is good enough, I'm at ep 3 so nothing I could say yet. But by far, I think the FL play it well. Although sometimes 'come on! You are at a war, was that silly bickering all the time really necessary?' thought comes to my mind. I'll keep watching then...

Despite the hilarious episode 30, I love the way they wrapped the Princess character. It was clean, heroic, and reasonable. Very very well done!

Seriously, I was drinking a cup of tea and pour it all over me 😭 I was just done shower and closed my busy day with a great drama and cup of tea but now I need to shower all over again 😒 damn it!

Whoever wrote those sexist line and think it's cute and whoever requested it to happen so, truly need a therapy. Or maybe it's me the one need therapy for finishing this drama just to justifiably mocked it 🙄

If you think Zhang Zhe's character is too two-dimensional and too fictional, you are far from right. Because indeed there are people who are radically too straight like him (in their beliefs, not sexual orientation 😂)
And I tend to avoid that kind of people. Because their idiotic stubbornness is harmful to me 😂
Being blindly believing in truth and justice and radically firm on it to the point where the individual with those traits believes others must have the same value as him is as toxic as a ridiculous old school teacher that punishes us for questioning their teaching method and deems us as morally disable.

And his portrayal thickly layered the story very satisfactorily. I still don't like his character whether in fiction or real life. But I understand the necessity of that stubbornness. When my opinion is very personal, I despise the narrative of the 'perfect wise man' it drives.
I have loved writing fiction ever since I was a child, yet I never had any bravery to write that kind of character. Because it's an annoyingly complex character I refuse to understand. 😆

Yeah, I agree that NIF 1 is good the story is well written. But once again, art is very personal form of pleasure. Need certain variables that often different from one individual to another. At this point of time, I just give up with NIF 1. Maybe once day when the mood is right and the passion is strong, I would picked it up again and find it more enjoyable than before. Just like this JoL, at first when I saw the poster I found it unappealing. Who knows it ended up being one of my most favourite drama? I even patiently waiting for it for almost half decade 🤣

At that scene when he hug her and she cried a sad river we all know that Xie Wei was bloody grinning inside 😂

I don't like NIF too. Not because the story was not good or the acting is bad. I just know it a bit later and the hype was up but I found the drama couldn't matched it. The pace and the mood is too slow for me and I just can't. I tried to watch it couple of times but always dropped it even before reaching the middle of the story.
Although, I quite enjoy the second one lol 😂
I wonder too why I couldn't bare watch the first one.

It soo good that as a drama watcher for more than two decades and mostly korean dramas and I have watch alot of spectacular movies and dramas, yet JOL is my one best favourite despite being new to Chinese dramaland. I began to watch Chinese drama for the last three or four years anf for that long too I have been waiting for its second season 😅

Seriously, I still don't understand what's about the untamed make it so popular?? I have tried to watch it till the end, hold my boredom and finger on their place and failed to understand.😂

Whoaa epic! It's legit the best drama I watched in the last two years. 😊 except the slow down romantic reminiscing in the tunnel when they literally chased 🤣 what the heck 😌 love is everywhere even in chaotic war.
Ep 7 is my favourite of all 😘 it just tasty!
I am not a fan of gore but I just close my eyes a second and enjoy it later 😅
