Someone over on Disqus even asked about SW doing his military service - I said the only thing I can think of is he came back long enough do his enlistment then returned to the US - i doubt he became a US citizen.

How in the world did JA get through the 17 years of SW being out if her control in the US??? I am surprised she didnt pack up and move there with him as controlling as she is. I can totally understand why SW went abroad and stayed gone.

Because they are looking at the gramps and his many marriages. That is a stain on relationships in k-dramas. DG and CY know all about it - remember how CY was gossiping about it at the beginning - and of course there is the unwed father MG who is also a part of that family. CY and JA are snobs - they need to look back at their own lives and stop being so hypocritical.

i need to watch it - I almost started it a couple of times but just never did.

I just can't bring myself to start LYOL yet. I was pretty burned out by TRHC. I, fortunately, never watched YLAG - I was going to start it but I just never did then when I saw all the comments i was like "I think I will pass" Maybe down the road I might actually watch it since I can fast forward through a lot of it. That is what is great about waiting until they finish or are close enough to the end that it will finish before you even get there - you know what to bypass and it makes it easier to watch.

I am actually watching Smile You - just watched ep 18 tonight and I love it. If you start it I will be happy to discuss it with you since, like you said, the comments sections in the older dramas are pretty much dead now.

I also want to watch Ugly Alert - it has very good ratings - 8.3

I am glad Mama Ji-Sil is going to address MG's dumbness for being so clueless. Can you imagine waiting 6 years for someone to come back to you when you really were never together with them in the first place? And she was right - he not only allowed himself and GR to be hurt once, but twice. The saying "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, Shame on me." comes to mind.

So it's going to take a total stranger to help JA get over what happened 30 years prior? Wow. Way to go Writers. 🙄

JA wasn't interested in the truth t. As Loehla has mentioned many times - it feels like JA was already done with DG and this was a perfect excuse to leave him, but instead of staying and preparing to be on her own, she just divorces immediately in a fit and has no job or anything to fall back on. So she has to leave her kids with DG until she is financially able to come get them - of course we all know what ultimately happened. So instead of blaming everyone for her issues, JA just explodes on them all and blames and tries to control every situation.

DG, instead of telling the truth, then tells JA is is wavering over an ex-GF. How is JA supposed to take that? I would be angry too. I get why she thought what she did - they looked guilty, he didn't call, he tells his wife has wavered in his heart because of CY, and then CY, in anger, tells JA that yes they did have an affair...so honestly, ANYONE would believe they did given what she saw and their reactions to the situation. JA and DG both seem like they wanted their marriage to end - Look at DG - he ups and married CY in less than a year of divorcing. Does that not say anything?
