Are the couple here kinda like Power couple who are both smart? or is it like FL is naive and dense damsel in distress kinda ? I also saw a news that there is a huge gap b/w actors so how is their chemistry?
These C-drama writers still seem to think audiences enjoy the same tired tropes: the ML endlessly chasing the FL no matter how badly she's treated him, while the FL uses the 2ML just to make the ML jealous. They've taken what could've been a strong, resilient FMC and reduced her to a trope-filled, emotionally immature, damsel-in-distress character. What's even more frustrating is that she's fully aware of both her own feelings and the ML's feelings. She's not oblivious or dense, she's consciously making these choices, which somehow makes it even worse. It's 2026. I'd love to see healthy relationships where both leads communicate, put in equal effort, and grow together instead of relying on the same overused clichés, unnecessary misunderstandings, jealousy plots, and love triangles. Romance doesn't have to be built on toxic dynamics to be compelling.
Look there is nothing wrong with ML and FL having partners before they date each other. This is modern world people have exes before they find their true love But to go ahead to faithfully adapt past relationships of FL from novel and then change ML's personality and relationships from novel to make him more likable and 'green flag' for women is weird
Why is that they showed that Miao Jing had two exes as similar to novel but for Chen Yi to didn't have any physical relations with Tuli? I know that these dramas are meant for women by this is kinda weird imo

I am kinda feeling bad for ML from ep 11 to 14 . Miao Jing is continuously keep on lying to Chen Yi and poor fella as always is worried for his dear 'sister'. I hope she tells him the truth behind her visit
