Ngl I immediately knew that it was the old man who killed everyone when Pei Yi asked about that sachet. I knew his daughter would be biological mother of Wu Mujin. Btw who was that guy in capital who was asking about Pei Yi in the vehicle and asked to kill her off?

Ngl I did sympathize with Ying and her hardship but the actions of Pei Yu to protect were kinda and whacky so immersion broke down

This cliffhanger 🤬🤬. If Xiahou Dan knew about the secret of Shanyi and Tue'er why didn't he approach him first to get him on his side before all this bloodshed happened at the Mount Bei.I am thinking this was some kind of plan Dan had otherwise it doesn't make sense

His obsession with her doesn’t feel purely romantic instantly. It runs much deeper than that. Imagine being isekai’d onto an alien planet and living there completely alone for 10 to 20 years. Then suddenly, you meet someone from your own world, someone who speaks your language and understands you. Wouldn’t you instinctively cling to them, even if your feelings weren’t romantic? That kind of emotional desperation and connection feels very real here.

And episode 18, especially the ML’s final diary entry, makes this even clearer.

Usually, C-dramas start losing momentum after 10 to 12 episodes. The plot slows down and the romance or chemistry starts to fade. But this one surprised me. After episode 10, it actually became even more engaging. I really love how the show smoothly transitions from a light rom-com vibe into a much darker, more intense storyline.

The ML and FL are absolutely adorable together, and I’m genuinely rooting for them. And Wang Churan is just breathtakingly gorgeous.

The only thing I wish they had done better is the voice dubbing. It could definitely have been improved.

Do they meet in modern world as well in the ending?

Does this have same vibes as Imperial Coroner and Coroner's diary with mystery solving cases with a dash of romance? Coz these are my fav type of dramas.

In Ep7 when FL comes to Xiahou Dan's palace to tell she came to know that Prince Duan is still a 2d character and that diary was probably fake ,Xiahou Dan was smiling. Does this mean that he knew that Prince's plan already?

Okay I am actually confused as to why the Og ML who is supposed to be the good guy did bad things to get Xu Yao(his strategist) on his side by impeaching his father. Is he not a NPC ? He is supposed to be the ML of this novel so why is he acting like a bad guy? Would appreciate the spoilers

Tbh, the ML and FL are getting hard to root for. The ML killed the minister in a completely heartless way, without showing any remorse, which is pretty concerning, especially since he’s supposed to be a modern guy. On top of that, the ML and FL’s idea of removing the prince and the OG FL doesn’t sit right with me if they’re really meant to be good people
